So many spell books are based on the Moon or the Sun (if astrology is mentioned at all), but I cannot think of one that addresses all of the planets! I also like the deep healing work many of these spells encourage - not just an "attract love and money" work! While this is not an astrology book, it could be a good primer for ways to actually experience the energies of the chosen planets directly, which is an imperative first step to really understanding astrology. In fact, this work may inspire readers to deepen and continue astrological studies, and to begin reading charts! While there are many resources to begin (my favorite being Kevin Burk's "Astrology - Understanding the Birth Chart"), this is a great recommendation for those who may not be ready to bite off and chew the complications of learning astrology - but to still be able to access and utilize the planetary energies and cycles to the highest benefit! Bravo Raven!!

This book is an excellent spellbook and a great way to learn about the Magickal Correspondences of the planets. The spells are creative and fun, and the appendixes are quite helpful. An excellent reference book if you need spells or inspiration to create your own.

As mainstream society begins to catch up with magickal culture in realizing the benefits of utilizing practical Astrology, there is no better time to broaden and harness your knowledge of this mystical science. "Planetary Spells and Rituals" by Raven Digitalis is a book that offers customizable hands-on spells and rituals that bring both magick and spirit into powerful alignment with the planets, leading to greater balance and more harmonious and potent spellcasting.

Raven offers lots of interesting techniques to try, including a nifty little trick called deific glamoury. Grouped by planetary body, corresponding rituals for everything from breaking a curse to attracting a sex partner are included.

Though it's definitely a spellbook chock full of spells, Raven brings the spirituality to the forefront as is his style, reminding readers right from the start that magick is only one aspect of the witch's craft. He also makes a point of urging readers to adapt methods to better suit their unique needs and beliefs.

If you're interested in Astrology but you're not yet utilizing it to its fullest in your magick and your everyday life, you're missing out. This book is a great big next step in learning more ways to reap the benefits of cosmic alignment.

Fans of Raven's earlier books will be delighted with this latest addition, while those just discovering this compassionate, talented and versatile author will be glad they did.
