Guitar Heaven,

It's all true.....this is one of my favorite albums of recent years. The Jeff Beck, Steve Morse, etc. comparisons are completely valid. And these guys love to throw in harmonic subtleties that will have you begging for more. It really doesn't get much better than this for nicely overdriven instro guitar rock (w. just enuff fuso-jazzism to keep it interesting). More proof (if you needed it) that the Swedes have some serious musical capabilities!!! Buy three copies, you're gonna wanna give some as presents to those that can appreciate it.

Fabulous instrumental rock.,

Two stratocasters, a bass, drums and percussion. PLANKTON ! Very talented musicians from Sweden who have crafted an extremely creative and interesting CD. Very good rhythm section, wonderful bluesy heavy guitars reminding of Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower and other psychedelic seventies sounds. All songs composed by Plankton except the extremely sexy performance of Dave Brubeck's 'Take Five'. Plankton are : Christian Neppenstrom - Guitars

I saw Plankton mentioned in one of the discussion boards and thought, lets check them out. These guys throw down some great work. I would describe them as a 1970's classic rock jam band. Solid guitar work with steady drumming and bass playing. Very enjoyable and have recommended it to many people. However, I do find the comparison to Steve Morse and Jeff Beck somewhat of a stretch. Dont get me wrong, these guys are good but.....not quite Morse or Beck.Enjoy.

HENDRIX goes instrumental,
By
This review is from: Plankton (Audio CD)
If HENDRIX had lived longer, this might have been the instrumental cd he recorded after ELECTRIC LADY LAND. Guitar bliss from unknown masters from sweden. Wonderful instrumental musik that covers a lot of flavours and never gets boring. Memorable tracks that capture the spirit of HENDRIX without copying him. If you like the guitar, this is a must for your collection.
