I find the layout and paper quality of this planner very usable. However, I was expecting to get a 1 year planner, and this only has enough pages for 3 months. The description is very misleading. I felt it was pricey to begin with, considering you have to fill in all your own dates on both the monthly and the daily pages. To cover a year, the cost for this planner is actually about $120.00!! Beware: if you think you are getting a year's worth of planning, you are not.

As a clinical psychologist, ADHD coach, and author of a self-help book on time management and related skills, I am always looking for tools to help make my client's lives easier, more productive, and less stressful. The Tools4Wisdom planner has been thoughtfully constructed to not only include space for a detailed breakdown of daily tasks, but more importantly helps the user to evaluate and understand their personal goals and priorities. A typical planner can suffice if all you are looking to do is keep track of appointments and meetings, but whose life is that simple? In addition to routine activities and the occasional appointment, most of us have a running, to-do list that we are constantly adding to and modifying. This planner is instrumental in breaking down those "extra", often overwhelming goals we have for ourselves and our loved ones. I highly recommend this as an integral part of planning one's life in the most effective, stress-free way possible. It is not just a planner, it is a life-tool. Hence, my team and I happily recommend the line of Tools4Wisdom planners (Amazon search keyword "tools4wisdom") to our time-management coaching clients who are in need for advanced thinking solutions.

As a side note, I also recommend the optional leather binder for additional storage and organization. The leather sleeve is very smooth, enables you to bring along the planner for extensive travel, and looks fantastic. Associated link: Cambridge Limited NoteTaker Notebook (06126)

I am a list person. Each day I keep a list of tasks I need to accomplish that day, crossing out the ones I have completed and adding new ones through out the day. When this planner arrived in the mail I had a list of 17 tasks on a sheet of paper. Even though I work with computers every day and love my tablet, I prefer paper-based lists. It seems that I remember things better when I write them down, and there is serious satisfaction in crossing things out from the list when the task is done!

When the Daily Planner arrived in the mail I transferred my 17 tasks to the daily planner and lived with it for several days before writing this review so I can fully evaluate how it is working for me.

The Daily Planner is 8.6" by 11" spiral bound notebook. It is made out of high quality matte paper that is easy to write on. Its weight is 1 pound 5.4 oz on my digital scale. I am attaching a collage of 2 photos (that can be located by following 'customer photos' link under the main photo). You can see the organizer on the postal scale in photo #2.

The minder has several sections:
(1) A monthly section shows one month at a glance. The days are labelled with a day of the week but no Month or Date labels, which allows you to use it for any year or month you want after you add labels yourself into the provided spaces.
Each month fits on one side of the organizer, so you can see two months if the organizer opened (i.e. not folded in half). There are 12 pages that show the monthly layout.
(2) Monthly goals and ideas section allows you to identify top goals for the month. It also has a section to write down steps to accomplish these goals. Each month goals/steps take 2 pages.

As a licensed professional counselor who routinely works with disorganized professionals and college students, I highly recommend this integrated planner from Tools4Wisdom. The planner not only has an extensive calender but an integrated To-Do list and a section on setting up long-term goals. There is a adage in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy that says "don't think it, ink it." This type of planner is perfect for people trying to create organization and balance in their personal and professional lives. The detailed times listing for the various days of the week will also help those people who struggle with time management, as well as those who just enjoy being detail oriented. The lack of dates allows the user to create their month and not have to wait until the end of the year in order to buy a calender planner for the following year. I now recommend this planner to all my clients who need a comprehensive planning system.

So disappointed. I was looking for a daily planner that would help me stay focused on an extremely busy college schedule. The planner has less than 4 months worth of daily planning pages. What is the point?

Back to the drawing board for a planner that I can actually use.

I work as an AD/HD coach assisting clients in organizing at home, work and school. The Daily Planner encompasses most of the tools that I use to assist clients in organizing themselves. This planner gives you the opportunity to think through the process of creating and completing goals by asking questions about how these goals would affect your life and the exact steps that need to be taken to accomplish each goal. These are questions I ask coaching clients as I guide them through the goal-making process. It's easy to create goals but the follow through is often very challenging. Thinking through why you want to make the goals and how you will accomplish them creates a positive environment for completing goals. The planner gives the user an opportunity to reflect on how to create and accomplish the goals as well as giving the user space to reflect on the daily activities that help to move the user forward in finishing their goals.

I have yet to find a planner that I would personally use AND that I would recommend to my clients.
