5.0 out of 5 stars This series is AWESOME!!!!
I got my MCSE using all the books for this track from this series and between the main text, the lab and the CD it helped IMMENSELY!!!

I don't know why others gave less than stellar reviews, but all I can say is that it worked wonders for me.

I HIGHLY recommend it!

3.0 out of 5 stars Labs could be better
As Microsoft books like this go, this is a pretty ok book I guess. About average. My complaint would be with the labs. I think there should be much more to them personally. The book will go into so many topics, and then the lab will touch on maybe 2 of them, and you do not delve very deep into any of them. The labs are good starting points to be sure, but not real...

It is a good book, but also very expensive. Is it worth the money? yeah, but you could probably find a cheaper resource too that is just as good.

Unless you are taking a class that actually uses this book, I'd shy away from it. I tried a couple of the chapter labs and it'd be really swell if they were in conjunction with the self-paced book; in one book you're doing a certain lab but in this one it's yet a different lab. Tends to be a bit confusing let alone you're loading up your home server network with more junk. After a couple of these I put it back on my bookshelf and just stuck with the MS hard cover self-paced book and came out ahead.

1.0 out of 5 stars Caution, September 20, 2007
This review is from: 70-293 Planning and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure Package (Microsoft Official Academic Course Series) (Paperback)
Although the author is listed as "Microsoft Official Academic Course" the author is the same Craig Zacker that wrote the "Planning and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure" 70-293 self paced study guide. You may want to read the reviews on other books written by this author before buying this product.
