About the Author

Dr. Jean Murray has been assisting small business owners for over 27 years. She has both the education and experience to help you with your business startup questions and decisions. Dr. Murray has an MBA and a PhD in business management with an emphasis on entrepreneurship, and wrote her dissertation on "Chiropractors as Entrepreneurs." She began consulting with small business owners in 1974 and has continued to be committed to this work over the years. She has owned and operated two successful businesses and has counseled many chiropractic students with startup plans. Dr. Murray has published two books in the subject of business startup, one of which, Planning for Practice Success, is available on Amazon.

The most comprehensive resource of business start up information I've ever seen. This book is packed FULL of practical information in an easy to read style from cover to cover.

Chapter 6 (legal structure) alone is worth the price of the book! Dr. Jean lasers through the topic with surgical precision, covering all of your options and giving you the information you need to make the best decision for your situation. She gives you the pros and the cons so you can decide, all without resorting to confusing "legalese" type language.

I was surprised to see it arrive with a spiral ring binding, but 15 minutes into the book, I understood why. This book spends it's time open and on my desk as reference instead of sitting on my bookshelf.

An excellent resource worth 10 times the price!

Excellent Detail. Wonderful information. Helped provide the guidance that I needed to get my practice going. Has answers to most of the questions you didn't even KNOW that you needed to know when you were going to school!!
