5.0 out of 5 stars 36" Tactical Case
Purchased for use with my Hi-Point 4095TS carbine.

Well designed case with no closing issues as mentioned before in other reviews, all the catches are aligned perfectly and the case closes well with a decent seal. The pre-perforated cube design of the middle layer made it a snap to fit my carbine, 4 mags, plus a .40cal Glock 27 and 3 mags for it very...

1.0 out of 5 stars Nice design, poor execution...

UPDATE -- I really do not like this case... I must now be very aware how I stand my case upright (lengthwise). The hinge pins are dropped in from one side -- so if you stand the case up with the pin entrance facing down, the pins that hold 2 of the 3 hinges together fall out! The pins are smooth & thin, so there really is no obvious way to modify...

5.0 out of 5 stars 36" Tactical Case, January 18, 2011

Purchased for use with my Hi-Point 4095TS carbine.

Well designed case with no closing issues as mentioned before in other reviews, all the catches are aligned perfectly and the case closes well with a decent seal. The pre-perforated cube design of the middle layer made it a snap to fit my carbine, 4 mags, plus a .40cal Glock 27 and 3 mags for it very comfortably and snugly. Yes the middle layer has a tendency to lift out when removing equipment from the case, but this is easily fixed by gluing the middle layer to the bottom eggshell layer with some spray-on contact cement. Do this after you have fully configured the middle layer for all your equipment.

Of note: The cubes are 1x1x2.5 inches and there is an approximately 2 inch border around these cubes of solid foam. So for your planing purposes of what will fit in this sized case; the perforated section of foam is 33.5x10.5 inches with a good solid border around that.

I do own Pelican cases for my archery equipment and did consider one for this carbine. But, price and portability were brought into consideration and this case won out.

I have a bushmaster m4 / ar-15. this case is great. i can custom fit my m4 nice and tight inside. the shell has a rubber gasket that seals nice and tight when you click all the latches down. it is not flimsy at all. you could throw the thing down a hill and not worry about whats inside.

I have a several cases by Pelican, but frankly didn't want something so heavy for a small gun case. This is just right - light weight, great protection, weather proof, etc. Plus I like the pre-scored foam for easy fitting of my gear - vs. a pelican gun case that must be cut with a knife. Size is nice for any "black gun" with a scope or other sight. The two locks are pretty good quality and don't feel cheap. The only negative is the plastic was a little warped around the pad lock area (very minor), but everything straightens out when you close the fasteners.

I can't believe that Wal-Mart is selling these for $39.97 and they're on here for over $100. I've bought 4 of these already and have been very satisfied.

Good construction. Latches work nice and smooth. Has pressure vent to let air out on hot days. Pluck foam interior was easy to work with and allows good fit to firearm and mags. If you buy this you'll be happy

I bought this because I didn't want to spend $200+. I knew exactly what I was buying, a $100 case for my ar15. I know the foam will hold the rifle securly when transporting. For what you're paying, this serves its purpose very well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Gun Case for my Home Security Shotgun, January 11, 2011

I was trying to decide between this case and the Pelican 1700. I'm very familiar with Pelican's reputation for making "bomb-proof" cases, but I also know how expensive, heavy, and bulky they can be. I decided to purchase the Plano 108360 because it was more affordable than the Pelican case, it had multiple locking options, and it had a pick-n-pluck foam insert. I'm very happy with my decision. It has four locking options (2 key and 2 padlock) which make it very safe and secure at home or in transport. It is definately rugged enough to last a lifetime going to and from the range. The seal is adequate for keeping rain and moisture out... although I wouldn't try submerging it in water. It was easy to create a custom cutout with the pick-n-pluck foam which is definatley an advantage over what Pelican offers on their 1700 case. The case is also suprisingly lightweight yet very sturdy, and is not as cumbersome as a Pelican Case. Overall, I'm very pleased. If you're looking for a sturdy case that will secure your weapon at home and provide years of protection during trips to and from the range, look no further.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Case, February 20, 2010

When I ordered this case I didn't know what to expect. It looked like it was constructed well. Sure enough, when I opened the package, the case was everything I expected. Same quality as a storm case but half the price. My rifles fit tight and I was able to make space for magazines. My ar-15 fit well with a scope and siz magazines. The only thing is, is when you pull your gun out the foam around the gun tends to pull out with the rifle. So I hot glued the foam all the way around the inside of the case. Other than that it was well worth it.

UPDATE -- I really do not like this case... I must now be very aware how I stand my case upright (lengthwise). The hinge pins are dropped in from one side -- so if you stand the case up with the pin entrance facing down, the pins that hold 2 of the 3 hinges together fall out! The pins are smooth & thin, so there really is no obvious way to modify them to stay in place. Let this be a lesson to me... buy once, cry once.

****************

First off, I DO NOT WORK FOR PELICAN. I'm just very appreciative of my Pelicans as a result of this purchase... used to hate Pelicans before because of how clunky, heavy & expensive they are (thought they were overpriced... now I know why).

I didn't want to spend a hundred more for a case that will hold my target 22 rifle. After reading the reviews, I purchased this case elsewhere. Boy am I sorry... upon initial opening, I was very happy. The case is beautiful compared to clunky Pelicans, & the latches look great. However, within 1 minute I knew I made a mistake. The case is very flimsy... not a problem if you are just looking for a gun case. However, I was looking for a weather resistant case. Though the case is stated as a weather resistant case -- with a purge valve & all (in case you find yourself in a situation where the case is stuck shut)-- that is a joke. Because of the flimsy case, the plastic is naturally slightly warped. When you close the case, you can visually see that there is not a tight even seal to take advantage of the generous tongue & foam gasket. To confirm, I gently pushed on the closed case. You can hear a "whooshing" sound come out from all 4 sides! Not acceptable for a weathertight case. This case quality-wise is subpar to the plastic cases that come with most rifles from your arms manufacturer. All in all, beautiful design, but very poorly made. It's about half the price of an equivalent Pelican... but NOT half the quality. If you are just looking for a nice looking case & don't need the weathertight feature, this works (though a little overpriced -- as it's priced for being "weather resistant"). If the thought of a Pelican even popped into your head... do NOT even consider this case, as you are clearly looking for rugged weathertight cases! You will be sadly disappointed!

Excellent quality, very sturdy. I got this from a large name retailer for $42.55 after tax a week ago and love it. There's plenty of room for my AR and mags. I like the fact that it can be locked two different ways. IMO, it's worth $100 but I paid less than half for it.
