Good case for $91 and free super saving shipping. Latches are secure and case is strong. Only compliant is the "Pick 'N' Pluck foam. This is all right for light weight .223 rifles or other items. Not good for heavier items like a .308W rifle or larger calibers. Foam has a tendacy to distort and can break apart. I use my case for an Armalite AR-10 .308W rifle. I had to break it down into the upper and lower receivers in order to fit in the case.
I had to purchase glue in order to fix the Pluck foam. Very best glue is 3M Super 77 Spray Adhesive. Bought this at Staples. Hey, it was easy.
I realize it is not a Pelican case. If you travel the airlines, then go with the Pelican. For going to the local range this case suits my needs. I recommed that if you get this case, order a spare 3-piece replacement foam set. You can order this from Plano Molding Co. for $30 ($15 for the faom and $15 for shipping). My experience is once a case goes out of production or goes through a re-design you can never get replacement foam.

I bought this case to transport a rifle on an airplane while traveling. On the very first usage, one of the three hinge pins came completing out and was lost and another hinge pin had come part way out. Upon closer inspection, there is nothing to hold the hinge pins in other than friction. So the hinge pins come out easily just from handling and vibration. This defeats the security of the case and makes it pretty much useless for anything other than home storage or fully supervised transport. This is sad because the case itself is pretty nice. Hard plastic for durability and a foam insert that can be customized to fit your rifle shape. Integrated locks in two of the five latches. I give it two stars for those features but I would never feel safe traveling with this case again for fear the hinge pins would come out and provide unintentional access.

This case is rugged and came as advertized. I like the idea of being able to customize it to your weapon. It was easy to do and it looks great. I got mine in black not green. Its thick enough that I can put my AK in it with folding side hand grip, bi pod and tack flaslight with no problem.

Just bought this case for my brand new ar-15. I love my gun and I want it protected. Bought this case and was actually surprised how well made and durable it is. If you love your gun (guns) too I would def. recommend this case.

Got one of the 42" Plano's AW for our Ruger SS 10/22 - Charger OUT-22 (Outdoor-Urban-Tactical in 22) Combo Set and the accompany Taurus SS Poly PT-22 Pistol. Sweet layout and even layering under the firearm. Took it on the plane checked luggage, did great on all three. Perfect condition. Just received the second 42" Plano for my army sons Ruger 10/22 and Ruger Mini-30 ATI Tactical set, also with a PT-22, all black on black. All three mil-dot scopes fit also.

Do it, you won't regret.

Plano makes nice cases, after using and taking this case to the range, I'm very satisfied with it. It's not a Pelican case but it also cost 1/2 the price of a Pelican 42" case. I would not recomended for airplane / airport travell but as long as you take it to short hunting trips or the range you'll be happy.The rifle is well protected and the foam can be molded to your rifle's shape.

I love this thing. Works perfect for me. Snugly holds my Mossberg 590 after trimming a 1/4 inch from the border trim. Since the border holds the shotgun in place, I removed all the pluck foam, put the shotgun in a gun sock, and store misc gear in the case. I do not use this for air travel or plan to. The case has gotten very dirty and after a few months the case is still tight and solid. Don't rely on this case as your only security, but I would feel comfortable having my gun locked in this, unloaded, WITH AN ACTION LOCK, around small children.

I bought this item to store my AR-10 .308 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Case is plenty sturdy enough. It's no Pelican case, but I knew that. Very pleased. I would buy this case again.

Recieved on time, no one could beat amazon's price on these gun cases. As far as the product goes for the money these cases are the best value, good quality at a good price. Sure if you want to spend upwards of $200 you can find a better case but why for the average shooter these cases are all you will need. I purchased the 42" for my AK and the 36" for my AR. With clips and scope the 36" was a bit small, knowing what I know now I would have opted for the 42" for my AR. All in all I am very happy with these cases.
