This is certainly a superb product. I have four, plus several other Plano Prolatch models.

PROS:
-Latches are positive (you know when they are closed right) and reliable
-Durability appears very good
-Easy to see through
-The lid can be carefully snapped off and re-attached

CONS:
-Even when inserted properly, the dividers may be loose enough to slide upwards easily. (Perhaps I cut mine too close.)
-Difficult to get exact inside dimensions to know if your particular object(s) will fit

LAYOUT:
Four fixed rows. The rear three can have 1 to 12 compartments, the front row can have 1 to 10 compartments (because of the latch). These "latch compartments" are double-wide, but squeezed 1/4" toward the rear.

INSIDE MEASUREMENTS:
(All compartments except the two "latch compartments".)

The easy answer is to assume that one single compartment can fit an object 1 1/32" left-to-right, 1 7/8" front-to-back, and 1 3/4" high.

So, if you use two compartments, you can fit something 2" left-to-right (plus 1/16" or so), but you're still limited to 1 7/8" front-to-back and 1 3/4" high. I measure that the longest object can be 13 5/8" (for 12 compartments). This discrepancy is because my single-compartment measurement is taking into account the slight widening of the dividers
at the very top.

The above takes into account the way the tracks for the dividers jut out into the compartment, and allows the space between them to be just wasted space. If your object is kept to 13/16" left-to-right, then it can be somewhat bigger, 2 1/16" front-to-back.

As part of my retirement anti-hoarding + organizing goal, I was looking for additional Plano storage boxes when I happened across these. I've used Plano storage boxes for more years than I can remember & they've served me well!

When I received these, I was disappointed, as these are "HUGH"! They're deeper, front to back & wider, across the front... not what I thought I'd ordered. These measure 14" (across the front) X 9" (front to back) X 2" (height). This was my ordering error, so I figured I might as well give them a try. To my surprise, the size wasn't bad at all & it gives me additional room to sort out my fasteners. :)

The pros:
+ This 4 pack cost less than the smaller size I thought I was getting & free Amazon shipping was included when I purchased mine!
+ The lid latches are very tight & secure. They should stay latched if the box is dropped.
+ Compartment dividers are provided. More on this below in my closing remarks.
+ The larger size means more room for sorting... separating parts!

The cons:
- The price for a 4 pack can vary greatly, so being frugal, I have to wait for a deal.
- The compartment dividers don't fit real tight, so they can lift when the lid is open, allowing smaller thin parts to mix. This is normal on this type of storage box, so I'm not lowering my product rating.
- Due to size of this storage box, it can get VERY heavy when it's filled with fasteners, or other heavy items!

Closing remarks:
▪ I read where some reviewers needed more dividers. This can happen, when sorting small parts. If you save the unused dividers from previous purchases, you'll have all you need... I do.

If I hadn't already owned several other Plano Stowaways of other 3700 series makes, I wouldn't have known how the quality had slipped on these. As usual, you must cut out your own dividers and insert them into the boxes to create compartments. If you want more than are provided, and you purchased them for your own personal use, you can contact Plano at customerservice@planomolding.com to describe why you need more. The dividers with the four pack are uneven, with little blebs and tags of plastic where the molds have clearly leaked. When one of mine fell from the desktop to the floor, only partially loaded with stone beads, the corner compartment shattered, spilling beads across the floor, to the delight of my dog. If you have the money to spend, it might be worth buying these individually and getting the higher quality ones, or getting them from Plano directly.

Holds all of my kids' rubber band loom stuff. The loom, bands and more. Not too big and bulky.
The only downside is that you have to cut the compartment dividers apart, but it only takes a few minutes...

This box has so many cool storage uses beyond fishing: craft supplies, beads, jewelry-making supplies, hardware, and...LEGOS! Yes, Legos! I purchased one of these a year ago for our then-4-year-old's Lego collection. The adjustable dividers came in handy for making room for different obscure pieces (think of those 1-pegged "lights", tires, 1x1 squares, etc.) and they broke apart into the sizes I needed with little effort. This was much less expensive and less labor-intensive than the Lego organization project I WAS willing to undertake, so I'm VERY thankful I found these boxes. They stack neatly and our son can find the little pieces he wants without any problems. It also makes it easy for him to sort them when he's done, another benefit of the clear box. The carrying handle is a fun bonus (for him) and the double latch means I don't have to cringe with fear that my sorting time will go to waste (forget peeling potatoes...try sorting Legos for a form of torture!). It is incredibly sturdy, as our 2-year old son has so helpfully demonstrated by standing on this many times; our son has also dropped it a few times and it still looks brand new! I do wish that the dividers fit snugly against the bottom of the box (there is a tiny gap) so that some of the most miniscule pieces didn't roam into other sections, but there are only 2 Lego sections that do that and this container wasn't technically made for Legos. All in all, I highly recommend this and the other Plano organizers for Legos or whatever small items you need to organize. They have myriad sizes and divider amounts to suit everyone's needs.
