not real happy. the base of the case is 3.5" but the diameter of the tube is only 3". very misleading.

I already own one myself and has ordered another one. I is 31/2 as the previous review at eacn end and the two tube does taper down to a usable space of 3 inches on one end and a little larger on the other. I manage to get 3-4 rods into the case depending is they have a large rod guide at the handle. I just slip another rod tip through in and get the maximum out of this rod case. I have a large one for my salmon trip with big rod by for my Canadian trip for Walleye, this case is small comapact and fits into a ford Explor with 3 adults with the bacj packed full of a weeks provisions. If you are looking to "stuff" all your rods in it, buy the larger versions.
