Good little case.

Pros: price

ships in two days with amazon prime

case is long enough for most rifles

Cons: thin padding

no external compartments for storage

Overall probably the best rifle case you can get for $13.99 shipped (with amazon prime).

I also purchased the Plano Gun Guard 300 Series Rifle Case for $21.85 and I felt it was a better deal. External compartment for magazines and more padding are worth the extra 8 bux or so.

That also ships with amazon prime (as do most of Plano's items).

Keep an eye on what model "number" you're buying 100, 200, etc. It seems the higher the number the thicker the padding and the more the features.

This case is taller than most for the price which makes it good for rifles that have optics, pistal grips, or collapseable stocks mounted on them. It is also not ugly looking and feels well constructed.

This is a very nice fabric, nice insulation.

I took off 2 stars because its pretty small to be a rifle case, should be another 5 inches longer at least.

I received my Plano 52 inch gun case and was very happy with it. It is attrative, made very well, study to carry a heavy long rife, it even had a 'Gun Guard' crest embrodered on the front giving it the appearance of a far more expensive case! And the price was even better! I highly recommend this gun case to anyone. Bill F.

If you're looking for something to protect your rifle while it sits in your closet, this is the one. Can't beat the price.

I bought two of these, one in each size, to accommodate my different sized rifles. I live in South Florida, a relatively gun-unfriendly area of the US of A, and walking around in open carry with my rifles isn't really tolerated, even at my shooting range. Rather than having to wrap them up or tote them in a cardboard box or something absurd, I threw down the money for these since they were cheap, and reaped the advantage of Free Super Saver shipping.

I was happy to find that the rifle bag fits my Czech Mauser 98 very well - the shotgun bag fit my Mosin rifle as though it were made for it. The rifle bag has generous head room to fit optics or rails or what have you. Granted, the walls of the bag are somewhat thin, and if you consider yourself clumsy I might opt for thicker padding and protection. As for me, they're tote-bags that just need to fit my guns, and have the added benefit of some padding to protect my wood from a slam against a desk or concrete floor. They have carry handles, but don't come with any slings, which is a shame. However they do have slings; a metal "swivel" and a nylon loop that I found works fine for my Mauser sling.

Unfortunately the outer fabric is a little weak. I was disassembling my Mauser's bolt on top of one of the bags and accidentally slipped, and it struck a hole clean through the outer fabric. It was purely aesthetic damage as it didn't poke through any of the padding inside, but I would watch my knives, pencils, bayonets, and other considerably sharp or pointy objects around these if I were you. Another issue is that these don't have outer pockets for magazines and etc; again, this doesn't bother me, but it would be a nice feature. As it is, I just use the extra head-space in the rifle bag to hold my loose ammo. All in all it's worth the thirteen dollar investment. If you want a fortress for your guns, then pay for one.

I don't know what to say; for my purposes this gun cover works great. If you will be knocking your rifle or shotgun around a lot you might want a case with more protection. I won't be doing that so didn't need a more expensive cover.

I wanted an inexpensive case to hold a 22 Marlin lever action rifle and this item fit the bill perfectly.

I am pleasantly surprised with this case. It is perfect for my lever action 30-30.

The case is good look. But inside padding is too thin. it can't protect my rifle and scope. Get the better one. Don't count on the price and free shipping like me.
