This bag replaces my old one i had for years. I can place everything in this bag, and i am not cramping everything into it. It has plenty of room for all my items. The shoulder strap really comes in handy when i take all my poles with me. It also has nice bottom to it so that i don't worry about leaving it on a wet ground surface.

I'm a fan of the soft-sided tackle boxes which hold the plastic trays. I've got several, which are typically organized into different kinds of lures. One might hold crankbaits, another jigs, etc. For those occasions where I want to take one bag with multiple lures, it's easy to mix and match trays from various bags. For that purpose, this bag works great. And it even has the ability to extend to a slightly taller size by unzipping the bottom. I actually haven't found a use for that yet, I think it is mainly a gimmick. My main complaint is about the side pockets. They are really just not appropriately sized to fit much of anything conveniently. Everything I would like to put in there is either too wide, too long, or too tall. Others I have purchased seem to have better sized pockets. The top pocket is interesting. Only the center portion unzips, keeping the edges down, so that equipment doesn't spill out when you unzip. This works ok, but having anything in that pocket makes stacking tackle boxes more challenging. Overall I don't think I would purchase this particular bag again, although I'm certainly not going to throw it away. It will probably contain the lures I use the least.
