Plano Shooters Case With Gun Rests (X-Large)

The rough dimensions on this are: 20 in wide, 10.5 in deep, and 11 inches high. The case IS huge but it will hold much of your cleaning gear. The lift out top tray can hold jags and other small essentials.

Putting on the gun rests was a bit of a challenge since there are no instructions. It made me feel like I was taking an IQ test. But I managed to find a picture on the Plano site, import it into my photo editing software and adjusted the gamma so I could really see how it was supposed to go together.

The two guns rest pieces are meant to go on with their finished side pointing in towards the box itself. You have to push down rather forcefully to get them to slide into position, but once that is done they are pretty secure.

Great for a gun cleaning/storage all in one unit and the material is virtually indestructable.

It took awhile to figure out how the two holders secured to the sides of the case. First, it looked like they rested on top. With some effort, I finally figured out that you had to push the gun holders down. There were no instructions or diagrams. The case is large. It would help to have some dividers on the lift-out tray, or in the main case below. The photo appears like there are dividers, but there aren't. It is a large case with plenty of room for storage. It also is very light. I rate it average for the price

No problem setting it up for holding the weapon for cleaning etc. Box is very roomy and includes a tray. It's plastic of course but it is still OK. Closing mechanism seems tight; I have not put too heavy a load on it so I do not know how the plastic closing mechanism will hold up to a lot of weight. Fine for storing cleaning supplies but no recommendation as to ammunition. I plan to keep all my cleaning supplies and tools in it so if I need to BO I can just throw it in the truck and go. I'd buy again.

Problems include absence of either a diagram or instructions as how to mount gun yokes (see similar comments). Back gun yoke split completely in two pieces during first usage. Left exterior "hinge" distorted with two contact points twisted away from channel on first use. I'm an experienced, mature gun handler with a reputation for "good hands" and not forcing components.

OK for maintenance items storage, but not sure if ammo could be dry stored.

This is a great case for tools, cleaning gear as well as other outdoor needs. I use it as a range box to hold all my gun smithing tools and cleaning supplies I need at the range for those just incase moments. It is strong and holds a lot of weight. I have about 25 pounds of tools and supplies in it and have no trouble. It even holds my weight. It is used often as my seat when I'm taking a break. I weigh 240 lbs and it holds my big but. Im sure it wasn't meant for that but my point is, it is strong. The rifle mounts are great once you get them latched on. They take a little convincing to get them in place, but solid once you get them in. Worth the money!

Holds a lot of gear. My wife calls it my man box. Its very strong and lockable. The gun rests are a little bulky to store in case but they are nice and partially rubber coated. A+ to Plano.

You really need to realize how big this box is besides just looking at the dimensions. It's large. But works well.

The holes for the cleaning heads, bore mops, etc. are pretty useless. Unless I'm doing it wrong, but I can't see the use for it as it appears to be too small. Nothing stays in there. But overall it's very functional and the rifle inserts are easy to use.

But overall it's a great box to put a bunch of stuff in it.

This fits it all, and then some. For the price you can't beat this box. I carry all my cleaning supplies and it also can fit a gang of ammo as well. Very sturdy build. I'm happy with it.

It's a good product, well made but a little too large for carrying around to the range. The gun mounts are not eng too well, at least how they fit on the side of the case, too flimsy.

GET THE BIG SIZE AND HAVE ALL THE SPACE YOU WILL NEED TO PUT YOUR CLEANING,SOLVENTS AND WHAT ELSE YOU HAVE IN IT. VERY STURDY TO HANDLE THE BIGGEST RIFLES YOU HAVE 5 STARS
