Like all Eyewhitness books, this one is full of information and great photos. We have a large collection of these books and look forward to enjoying them for years to come.

Beautiful and Engaging,
By Amy Knepper (Seattle, WA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Plant (DK Eyewitness Books) (Hardcover)
I just finished reading this book with my 7-yr old son and 5-yr old daughter, reading a few pages every night for the last week. This is one of the best of the Eyewitness Books we've read, and that's saying a lot.
Not only are the pictures beautiful and interesting, but the text is well-written and easy for the little ones to understand. It also covers topics not always covered in standard Plant books, such as the history of plant collecting and how botanists study plants. Some of our favorite sections include: How a Plant is Pollinated Self-Defense Meat Eaters Plant Passengers Living Without Water The Plant Collectors I haven't come across a DK book that didn't spark my interest, but this one gets especially high marks from me. I highly recommend it, especially as a home learning resource or for anyone wanting to learn more about plants in an easy-to-understand format. Five stars.

Good introduction to plants for all those of reading age. Also a good review for those who studied botany too long ago!

Plant A book review,
This review is from: Plant (DK Eyewitness Books) (Hardcover)
The Most interesting thing was that when butterflies are sleeping their proboscus is tucked under their head. The most surprising thing in the book was that rose hips have ten to one hundred times the vitamin C than any other food. Plants is an excellent book. It told alot of interesting information. Anyone would like to read it, for a report or just for fun.

This book, like all those in this DK series, contains images that are absolutely captivating to children from preschool upwards--and to adults as well. The images speak volumes about the growth of plants. It's a fascinating and useful reference book for children.
