After learning of this book, it took a while to find it. It was worth the effort. Written in both Spanish and English, it gives the Latin name of the plant being discussed, local names, parts used, how to administer and prepare it, other herbs that it is often combined with, and a brief list of conditions for which it is useful. There is also a black and white picture of the plant, usually not of field guide quality, but helpful nevertheless. A side benefit is that the dual Spanish/English format is good for learning Spanish related to herbal medicine. As an herbalist, I recommend this book to anyone interested in herbal medicine as practiced by traditional healers in Peru.
