British author Janet MacLeod Trotter has had 15 novels published, 12 of them historical sagas set in the North East. Her first, THE HUNGRY HILLS, was nominated for the Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year Award, while THE TEA PLANTER'S LASS was long-listed for the Romantic Novel of the Year in 2008. Janet's latest novel, THE VANISHING OF RUTH, is a mystery set on the hippy trail to India - an overland trip she did as a teenager!
