Both this book and his other are good escapist reading. Well written and unpredictable. These books are both worth buying in hardback. I've read all of Terry Pratchett and find Gerry O'Brien nearly as good and totally different. He carries a story line well and keeps the reader interest high. He has fairly good character development.
