Good performance, less than ideal fit,

I actually use this more for voice recognition and office dictation via wireless set up then for my phone which is not Bluetooth enabled. The instruction booklet was very informative, however the unit, which I chose because of battery life, does somewhat pull at the ear. The plastic piece that connects the unit to your ear after one week of use has already snapped, and despite crazy glue unfortunately snapped again. The voice recognition part and transmission is excellent and the battery life is as advertised at eight hours after an overnight charge. While sitting in the ear, the buttons are fairly accessible without playing around. I used the Jabra product and the voice clarity on playback was not as good. Now the way this unit looks, you can pretend that you're a Starfleet indications officer, if anyone watched the old series. Overall I think it's performing as expected, and if it just was better able to hang in the ear, I'd call it an excellent unit.

Works great and I love it,

I have tried several Bluetooth headsets, and i found this to be work the best. I'm using it with iPAQ h6315 phone.
Pros - Battery life is great. Even better, you can change the battery. So if I'm gone for a week, i dont even have to charge it as I replace batteries. Extra battery only $5 - The earloop that came with it broke, so i ordered a few more and ordered the head band for it. The head band is the best thing that you can do with this earpeice. I wear it all day long with no complaints. I yes to try the neck band - Sounds quality is clear, sometimes distorted. I noticed that if I answer the call using the button on the M3000, the call is clear. If using my phone, people can barely hear me - It has multiple accessories, headband, neckband, extra battery, and various size ear loops Cons - A bit bigger than the average bluetooth earpeice. - SOmeimtes you may have to ask users to call back again or call them again as for some reason the the voice is low. I noticed when battery is about to die, the quality is bad

Best Bluetooth Headset I've Ever Used,

I have a Sony Ericsson cell phone and The M3000 works GREAT with it. I've had the piece for about 5 months now and I've never encountered the problems that I've encountered with previous bluetooth headsets.
The M3000 doesn't drop calls (or sends the call back to the phone) at random, it doesn't run out of battery life too soon (the battery on the M3000 actually lasts longer than the battery on my cell phone), and it is more comfortable than most headsets I've worn. Some people complain about the fit of the earpiece, but I was surprised at how well it stays put and how I barely notice that it is there. Great reception too boot. There are some issues with reception at a distance from my phone when I'm at home (I'm pretty sure that my wireless network is aggrivating the signal), but it is not that bad. For the price Amazon is selling it for...there is no comparison. Oh yea, I dropped it on the concrete the other day, expecting the worst, it didn't affect funtionality one bit. AND a big plus is that you can change the battery if it starts to lose the ability to hold a charge. The M3000 will last as long as you can manage to not lose it.

Bought this almost a month ago because of the price - about $40. Bought it to replace a more expensive Jabra BT200 which I lost. The following description is comparing the Platnronics to the Jabra. Fits my ear medium good; has two sizes of ear pieces that fit around the back of the ear. Pretty light, but doesn't quite fit the shape of the back of my ear, so fatigue sets in after about 1/2 hour. When that happens I switch to the other ear. Sounds a little tinny, but not too annoying. However it's not as loud. Turn it up too much and it gets more tinny and may distort. Has that light "plastic toy" fit and feel. Pairing to my Nokia 3650 went as expected. Range... about 30 feet, and then the signal starts breaking up. Not too bad. Battery life... pretty good. I notice that it goes into a low-power mode after a few seconds (when not in a call) unless the phone wakes it up. Reconnect from low-power mode to an ongoing conversation takes about 1/2 to 1 second. I noticed that my phone will run out of battery power in half the time when bluetooth is enabled, so I usually leave it shut off unless I'm already in a call. Besides, when bluetooth is on, it quiets the ringing. So if the headset isn't in my ear, I may not hear the phone ring.

I just got this headset and I am using it with my PDA (Audiovox VX6600 from Verizon) which I like very much! The set up was easy. Just make sure you read the instructions on how to pair the devices. Inside the car sounds good and people hears me good too. But, outdoors is terrible...even at Home Depot was bad...very statically....Also, after wearing it for a little while (30 min ) my ear aches even if I am not talking....It could be me and my allergies that don't help....In conclusion it work for the car which is I wanted mostly for. However, I wish I could use in other places. I will keep trying...
Bluetooth is great!

Excellent noise cancelling,

This is the 3rd bluetooth headset I am trying (Jabra & Motorola) being the other two. Even though this is a bit bulky, I feel comfortable wearing it around my right ear. The noise cancelling is the best part of this headset. While driving on both highways & city roads, I have not had anyone complain about the background noise. I do have to attend a bunch of conference calls while I drive and this has been the best headset so far in term of clarity and noise cancelling quality. I have it paired to my Blackberry 7100t phone.

Broken ear clips,
By J. L. "J. L." (Austin, TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Plantronics M3000 Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I have had this product for just under a month and now the second earclip is cracked and about to break. The little ring that connects to the main unit is thin plastic and snaps easily under light to moderate use. Now I guess I have to find more of them somewhere or stop using the device.

SPOKE TOO SOON (Back in 2005) Now ONE STAR,
This review is from: Plantronics M3000 Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
BOY WAS I WRONG! I wrote a rave in 2005 on this headset. This is what happened in the coming months (I forgot I wrote this originally and wanted to let people know what happened)> Spoke too soon, January 18, 2007
Was just shopping around for a new bluetooth device and totally forgot I had written a review in 2005! This was a piece of junk! After the initial three months or so of use...everytime it went out of range, it would "go out" and you would have to reboot the thing to use it again. Didn't cme back automatically. THen, the sound got fainter and fainter till finally, sometimes you'd be able to hear or be heard, other times "hello" "hello?" "Can you hear me"? Can you hear me"? was the only conversation you could have. I finally got so disgusted one day, I threw it out the window of the car while driving! It felt good to see it get run over! I went back to wired devices for driving, and now that I've upgraded to a new phone, I'm not sure I'll go with wireless again (I am shopping though: this time 27 days to test). I may just NOT TALK WHILE DRIVING or doing any other activity. Seriously, this was $$$$$ wasted.

Great Sound, Good Fit, Great Price,
By Mark (Illinois United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Plantronics M3000 Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I had my doubts about this headset when I read the other reviews, but I jumped in and bought it anyway because of the price, and July is around the corner and Chicago's cell phone law goes into effect. I only use it in the car and the sound I get is very good. The battery lasts long but cut the numbers that Plantronics gives you by 25%
I did take a walk away from my phone and the signal did get a little choppy after about 20 feet, but like I said I only use this in the car. It paired with my Motorola V551 instantly with no problems. The ear loop was a little uncomfortable, but after I bent it away from the headset right where the rubber part starts, it fit perfectly after that. The thing is a little big and if you move your head side to side quickly it flaps on your face but it does sit securely on your ear. You can bend to pick something up or reach up high and it will sit on your ear. Overall I'm happy with it, and for the price you can't go wrong.

Great sound quality but the earclip broke - thats the bad part!!,
By AM "am amazon" (Palatine, IL USA) - See all my reviews

These days the headsets are a dime a dozen but after trying some of the new ones, the M3000 sound quality is still one of the best. However, the earclip is badly designed and it broke - they do provide a backup but its only a matter of time before I have to chuck this away in a corner...
