5.0 out of 5 stars Best yet head set
I am on the phone for my work virtually all day and this head set I am told sounds good and people speaking sound good to me. I use it with a Panasonic 5.8GHz phone system/hand sets.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good except for a couple of pretty big flaws
The reason I give this product only 3 stars is because I am getting an echo back in the earpiece when speaking. That's really too bad because I can hear people very well with it and they can hear me crystal clear as well. I'm also not sold on the comfort. The headset is just a bit too light and does not fit very tight around the head. I need this headset for work and...

I've tried two other Plantronics corded headsets but they were primarily for a cell phone. Also a GE headset, but quality was poor on cell and cordless phone. I bought the M214C because it was designed for cordless phones. I works great. The only thing that I would consider an improvement is a better cord and hopefully replaceable. The flimsy cords are the weak spot, not the headset. Yes, I have bluetooth for cell phone, but it doesn't work on cordless phones (yet).

Overall this headset is very good. The sound on both sides of the line are good. You can use it on either left or right ear. And it has control for volume of the headphone and microphone and a mute button. While it's keep its simplicity and ease of use it has all the features that are needed for a hands-free conversation.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good choice for the home office worker, June 26, 2007

I work from home and am *constantly* on the phone. I need to keep my hands free, and walk around alot, so I plug a headset into my cordless phone, and then switch to the next cordless handset when the battery runs out. I go through 3 phone handset/batteries a day!

Eventually (usually after 3-4 months) every headset cord I've had goes bad. When it happened to an expensive headset, I soldered a new cord onto it. Then it broke again. I have no time for that. So, I had to find an inexpensive "disposable" headset. After buying lots of 'em, I found this one -- the plantronics PLNM210C. It is cheap (about $20) sounds great with my phones (Panasonic cordless) and easy to put on and take off. I buy them 4 at a time (a year's supply -- it's like any other office expense to me).

The only drawback: the foam ear cushion isn't that comfortable. For me, the easy solution was to switch with the nice leather cusion from another more expensive (but no longer working due to bad cord) headset.

One important point: the "noise reducing" microphones on some other headsets (of all the brands I've seen so far) often wreak havoc with regular cordless phones. The result is that you sound terrible to the person on the other line -- I would steer clear of these type of microphones.

For someone looking for a headset for home for occasional use, I would say it is a great headset. I will be returning mine.

The head set is comfortable but the volume is way too low and very hard to hear the person. I would not buy this model again.

While the product arrived and shipped exactly as promised, the product itself is terrible. Quite simply, I can not hear the person I am talking to. The sound quality is so poor that I had to order a different headset immediately because this one is basically unusable.

Works well with cellphones and cordless phones that have a jack for a head set very comfortable and clear sound.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not all headsets are created equal, June 18, 2009
This review is from: Plantronics Cordless Phone Headset M210C (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I have tried several 2.5mm jack headsets with several phones both cellular and cordless land-line. Some headsets work better with some phones. I am using the Plantronics M210C with an AT&T cordless land-line SL82318, and it works well. By that I mean I can hear the person on the phone well (clear and reasonably loud) and they can hear me very well (loud and clear). Also, the Plantronics M210C is comfortable to wear. Another reviewer stated that model M214C works well with AT&T phones, and so I tried this model. I also tried an AT&T EH500 headset with this phone. I could not hear well enough, and I could barely be heard. AT&T says that all of their headsets work with all of their phones. I do not consider this inferior volume level as working, and I told them so when I returned the EH500 headset.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worked for about 2 months, May 25, 2009

I ordered the Plantronics Oth headset hoping it would work great. The audio was just ok. It was hard to hear even at full volume on the phone. The microphone seemed to work pretty well. The reversible option was pretty nice. After about 7 weeks, the audio stopped working even though the microphone still works. So people can hear me, but I can't hear anything. I paid $18 for mine, expecting it to work for a long time. I took care of it, but it just plain broke. It is poorly made. Good luck!
