Pros: great sound, easy to keep charged in the car, lightweight and comfortable
Cons: Not the latest model, turn-off tones a little on the quiet side

I'm kind of a Plantronics junkie. After throwing money away on some junky bluetooth devices, including what should have been a decent item from Motorola, I've purchased only Plantronics devices in the last two years. I've lost a couple while traveling, so I have purchased five in all. Plantronics is top notch stuff, with excellent sound quality in every bluetooth device I have ever purchased from them. So it comes down to features, convenience (size, charging time) and comfort. My two favorite Plantronics are this 655 and my 925. I love the 925 because it pairs with two different phones at the same time and it looks damn cool. It comes with a nice little charging case, but is a bit bulky.

The 655 here is always in my car, sitting in one of the two cigarette lighter plugs, just waiting for me to call it into service. It connects very quickly with my Blackberry Storm and gives me reasonable range. (Forget about a 10 meter range on blue tooth devices... that only works when you DON'T want devices to interfere with pairing with another device!) I never have callers ask me if I'm on a headset when I'm using Plantronics devices, and the 655 is very comfortable. My unit came with an auto charger base, so it is always charged up. Plantronics is clever enough to provide multiple charging capabilities, so it can plugged into a wall adapter, and it also works with the base charger of older Plantronics models which come with adpaters for tons of cell phone chargers or even a simple AA battery.

My only complaint, and I really have to stretch this one, is that in turning it off, there are two soft tones that tell me I have completely powered it off. They're pretty faint, because while driving, I have to really listen for them to know that I've completed the turn off process.

I love this headset. It has a great fit and works incredibly well. Multiple charging options. No complaints.

The 655 was comfortable, but a little loose even with largest ear piece. The ear loop made it unbearable minutes after putting it on. Sound quality on outbound call was very good. Inbound calls at times were a bit noisey. If I hadn't just purchaced a 975 I would have went with a 655 again.

No complaints with quality of headset, or functionality.
But design of earhoop should probably be looked at.
I needed to use both hands to put it in place over my ear, which can be a nuisance when about to drive.

According to info it would work with my RAZR V3. The 655 charged up fine, but would not sync. Great looking and feeling bluetooth, but right now is of no use....will keep trying.

I got me one and a friend one as a gift. Well it is comfortable enough tho the rubber ear peices sort of are too big to too small for a perfect fit. The sound is ok as long as there is not a lot of backgorund noise. The really issue I have with it as does my friend, it puts itself into a power saving mode or sleep mode and only actually pics up about two 3rds of the time. to wake it up i have to turn orr my phones blue tooth ability and then back on and try to make it refind it. Also when its not connecting properly you cant even shut it off and turn it back on to refind it. I have gone thru one (the part where the ear loop and ear bud go on broke just with normal use almsot as if the ear loop sort of cut thru it). I got a replacement and still have the connectivity issues with the new one.
Having the multiple charging options is nice. The price was good. But had i paid more than 20 for it I would have been VERY disatisfied.

With the earloop, this product is light and comfortable. However, was somewhat disappointed by the perfomance of its DSP feature. Voice quality was mediocre at best. Lots of static from time to time. Noise could be heard from both ends. Battery life was also bad.

I have always used a wired headset, but with California passing a hands free Cell Phone requirement while driving I decided to go Bluetooth. There was a small learning curve because the single big button (plus two smaller volume buttons) has so many different uses (depending on one or two short pushes or a long push or a really long push). But we are now best friends and I find myself trying to come up with people to call just so I can use this headset. I find the ear piece and hook to be quite comfortable although I have never worn the headset for hours on end. I only used this in the car once (don't believe in talking and driving) but according to the person I was talking to the noise reduction works very well and I could hear the other party clearly with plenty of volume.

Well since I never received this Item, It was swapped for a different model. So I have no clue, but the re-certified 665 one that I got only extends up to about 5 feet. SOOO... that ain't good.
