Best Hands-Free set for compatible Samsung phones, February 10, 2006
This review is from: Plantronics Flexible Boom Headset for Samsung E715, E105, X427 (Wireless Phone Accessory)
My girlfriend and I both own a set and are very satisfied with it. This was the third set that we tried, and was definately the best. I own a Samsung Samsung SGH-X427 and she onws a SGH-S307. We both initially purchased the Samsung hands-free set. We assumed that Samsung's own set that was designed for their own phones would be the best choice. But unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The sensitivity of the microphone was too low, so if we both were using the set, we could barely hear each other. We next tried a universal plantronics set (this model was not available in B&M stores). We were able to hear to each other just fine, but it would often introduce a lot of static. I was the lucky enough to find this set on the internet. A plantronics set that was made designed for Samsung phones. I never knew this existed since Plantronics' website doesn't acknowledge it. We tried these out, and the sound was crystal clear with no interference. The sensitivity of the mic was perfect. We could not differentiate, at all, if the other was using the set or not.
I highly recommend this product if you own one of these Samsung phones (Amazon doesn't list all the compatible models): SGH-C225, SGH-S307, SGH-S300, SGH-S300M, SGH-D410, SGH-D415, SGH-X426, SGH-X427, SGH-X475, SGH-X495 , SGH-X497, SGH-E105, SGH-E715, SGH-P100, SGH-P107, SGH-X105.

FInally a good accessory for the E715, August 1, 2005
This review is from: Plantronics Flexible Boom Headset for Samsung E715, E105, X427 (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I got this device after living with the not so great earbud that came with the Samsung SGH E715. I couldn't find any other device that worked due to Samsung's wonderful proprietary standards. After a year of not hearing conversations and sounding like I was in a wind tunnel, I found this beauty on Amazon and took a chance in ordering it.
Everyone I spoke to now says I sound great and I can easily hear what they are saying. It also has an on/off switch so I can press 1 button to start or end the conversation. Although the mic looks short and may not reach my mouth, it actually picks up everything I say. Normally, I don't like sticking anything in my ears and prefer the over-the-head style headset, but this one has become comfortable in the ear. I drive with it on now and don't even realize I'm wearing it. So I guess I'm used to it after only a week.
So, if you have one of these older Samsung cell phones - get this MX153. Worth the price to finally be heard in the car.

Hands free for safety and clarity to boot, March 14, 2006
This review is from: Plantronics Flexible Boom Headset for Samsung E715, E105, X427 (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I was interested in a device for hands free safety while driving. I got what I wanted with the plantronics device and very good clarity besides. I have not experienced anything negative over the past couple months.
