If you don't have your own office and/or you have co-workers who have a tendency of indiscriminately interrupting, pointing to flashing lights will effortlessly embarrass them into not interrupting you when you are on the phone! In my case I bought the light as a courtesy to my co-workers; I am the first one in the office to wear a headset and they were uncomfortable approaching me whenever I was wearing it. Now there is no question whether I am on the phone or not. Easy to install, plug into lifter and place for greatest visibility (cord is about 5 feet long, secure with screw or double stick "squares").

Okay, I finally had it with my co-workers! I'm the only one in my office that uses a wireless headset and EVERYONE seems to think they can interrupt me at anytime!

I got this so I can POINT to it when people think they can interrupt me at anytime. In fact, I mounted it on my cubicle wall with a piece of paper behind it that reads: "If this light is ON, I'm on the phone. PLEASE do not disturb! Please send me an email. Thanks!"

So far, it's working!

This item helps me get more control of my day, lessen the interruptions and keep my focus on what I need to accomplish during the day.

Now I don't get interrupted accidently with this product. It's hard not to notice the multi flashing lights while I am on the phone.

This provides a random blinking pattern of 5 LEDs. It is quite bright, but somehow can still be missed by people who just come up and talk to me even though it's blinking. It does filter some phone interruptions, enough to be worth the cost. It may be more useful in environments where you are not assumed to be always at the beck and call of everyone who walks by.

I would recommend this for anyone using the Plantronics headset unit with an office phone system.

I really like this product. I too put up a sign next to it explaining what it is. I just point to it when someone interrupts me. Most co-workers now automatically look for the light before they approach. I wish the light would come on when you are using the handset too. I did buy an extension for the cord so it could reach the outside of my cube from where my phone is on my desk.

Nice item. Shipped in timely manner. Makes for interesting conversation for those who aren't aware of the blinking and oscillating lights that indicate you're on the phone. Very satisified with product.

I work in a large department, our receptionist with her headset on, has the habit of looking at you when she taking a call. This drove us all crazy. The light, which shipped in a timely manner and installed very simply, was a huge hit. We all enjoy knowing when we need to answer her if she is looking at us and talking. Great product. Wish we would have had this years ago.

The Plantronics Online Busy Indicator Light has been a God send! Installation was easy - we plugged the new lights into our Plantronics receiver lifters and the light was ready to go. Six feet of cord goes quickly but is sufficient for the three of us in the office who use this light. People in the office now know when we're on the phone and we are saved the headache of listening to two conversations at once. The back of the light folds down so the light can sit on a counter or desktop, or there is a hole in the back to hang the light on a wall. The red light flashes anytime the handset lifter is engaged, so the light turns immediately when you answer the phone and stays on until you hang up receiver. I wish we'd ordered these when we purchased our headsets 5 years ago!

I have only used it for two weeks and it seems to have served its stated purpose. The product itself is made mostly of platic, and cheap plastic at that so I do not know how long it will hold up. Also it didn't really come with directions so I don't really know how to mount it. It looks as if you can mount it to a wall and maybe a few other options as well...

I love it! The staff like it as well they no longer interupt me because they know when I'm on the phone.
