Worth the fiddling,

This review is from: Plantronics CS351N Monaural SupraPlus Wireless Professional Headset System Noise-Canceling with HL10 Handset Lifter (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I am a web-based trainer working in a shared office. A headset is a necessity, and this fits my needs perfectly. The headset itself is light and the ear cups are comfortable. I have a small head and so often have fitting issues with headsets; not so with this one. The sound quality is good on both ends of the call, and the external sound dampening seems to work well.
The only thing that I found a bit bothersome was the initial set-up for incoming and outgoing volume. There are multiple switches/buttons for both and keeping track of which one you need to use is a little confusing. Keep your manual handy and it doesn't take long, though. I would recommend this unit wholeheartedly to anyone who needs to spend substantial time on the phone.

This is truly a joy to use. I am on conference calls about 4 hours a day. The headset is very comfortable, and the battery life allows me to be on the phone as long as I want. I've had other Plantronics CS-line sets before, and the sound quality is equal to a hard-wired telephone. The set is a bit pricey. Even so I am thinking of buying another to use with my computer for Skype (the CS50-USB). I only wish this set had a dual interface (landline and USB) and was slightly less money.

Tried and true,

While this is the first over the head model my collegues have wanted, it works well. The HL10 Lifter is great but be prepared to have to scrape the adhesive off the phone if you ever want to get rid of it.

HL10 device does not work with all phones and it is hard to find out which phones are compatible,

I like this device and had one before. However, it is really difficult to determine which phone is compatible with the HL10 lifter device.
The Plantronics people are somewhat. They do not provide a list of compatible phones unless you ask a manager, so it is very hard to go shopping for a phone once you have the HL10 lifter. They do not respond to questions at their web site very quickly. The website is not so functional either. It is slow and the tool to select the equipment is not so good.

Excellent product as always from Plantronics. A bit pricy but I think you get what you pay for in most instances. This is an excellent headset although it feels a bit heavy on first few wearings until you get used to the battery weight necessary for the wireless capability. Sound quality is excellent on this end, but I don't know if there is any quality loss for those on the receiving side. I haven't thought to ask. I am a bit disappointed in the distance capability going wireless. I work out of a home office and I get the warning beeps on the range well below the 300' distances they talk about. Then again, I'm in a house instead of an open office environment so that might be a factor. My only other concern is the microphone swivel capability. While it works quite well, it feels a bit loose and makes me wonder if it isn't going to lose the capability to stay in position when you move it around, as is necessary to place the headset in the charger. The headset lifter works quite well although I'm using it on a Siemens phone with a bad LED display that I need to replace shortly. All in all another great product from Plantronics.

This is an excellent device to have at work. I am used to spending several hours per day at conference calls, so that for anyone takes part of it without the limits posed for an ordinary telephone is priceless, at least for me.
Its audio quality as well as its range is amazing. All in all, I can say I'm satisfied with this purchase Magno Souza, Salvador/BA - Brazil.

Plantronics is by far the best in the market, Jabra headsets seem to have inconsistencies with range and quality that we cant overcome even by purchasing a better model. I only drop it one star because I feel Plantronics does a bad job of controlling price, these things should not cost as much as they do, I think they are monopolizing a business market and charging us based on that.

This is a great product. I was replacing a 10-year old wired headset with this. I now have the ability to walk around the office, and even out into the warehouse, and still pick up calls and conduct business. This has made my work flow much better. No more long times on hold, when I was unable to go to a file or even to get a cup of coffee while waiting.
I HIGHLY recommend this!

The item is terrific--the only negative is the Lifter was supposed to come with each of the Wireless Headsets and two headsets were ordered and I had to call you as both had no lifter. I received them two days later after I had to call.

I use a headset all the time to be hands free, but the one I use to have was not wireless and I was "leashed" to the phone in my office. The wireless setup was a snap, the Lifter allows me to answer and hang up the phone from my headset. Plantronics is my favorite manufacturer (always great sound and microphone)and being wireless is FREEDOM for me.
