5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely great headest, July 3, 2008

This review is from: Plantronics SupraPlus SL H351 with VoiceTube - headset ( 64336-03 ) (Personal Computers)
Let's face it - bluetooth 2.0 is better than the old 1.2 but when you digitize, re-digitze, call another network with a different data rate, and go back to BT2.0 the call is almost uninteligable no matter what brand of BT headset you use because it has been transcoded 4 times (assuming no voip)

But go analog into the phone with a hot headset and you cut 2 of those digitizing steps out. The mic and speaker on this are better than your cellular phone's!

You do need to order the 18" adapter to 2.5 mm jack. You do give up the pickup/hangup switch, but people you talk to will swear you are on a landline phone.

It works great with the DECT6.0 / skype phones like the NETGEAR 200 dual landline cordless / VOIP phone. Audio is EXCEPTIONAL.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY THE LITTLE (2.5mm) amplifier that plantronics sells - just get the headset and 18" adapter cable to go into 2.5 mm and you'll be fine. DOES NOT WORK WITH GARMIN RINO CONFIGURATION FOR 2.5MM.

Truly professional sound - 5 stars!

4.0 out of 5 stars Get the "N" version, June 29, 2009

This review is from: Plantronics SupraPlus SL H351 with VoiceTube - headset ( 64336-03 ) (Personal Computers)
This was used in a small office of 2 customer service agents next to eachother. The voice tube is great without ambient noise, however, it picked up any noise in the tubes direction. Thus making it sound like two people were talking into headsets to our customers frustration.

Plantronics makes a good headset, i would just get the N version (noise cancelling) if you are in a louder enviroment.
