Incomplete for use,

Be advised when purchasing this product: the headset cord does not end in a telephone headset plug. Instead, it ends in a "quick disconnect" plug. Unless you already have the other half of the "quick disconnect" plug (from an amplifier or another headset), you must separately purchase a cord to plug this headset into your phone. I've spoken with plantronics' support, and they confirmed that this product is not intended to ship with the cord to plug into the phone (despite that the user guide included with the headset specifies that it can be plugged directly into a phone's headset jack).

Over the past 35 years, we have ordered and used close to 100 of these headphones. We have tried other brands along the way, but returned to Plantronics every time. They last forever, well almost, and when they do have a problem they are easy to order parts for and fix yourself. If you don't feel comfortable fixing them yourself...you can send them in for a cost of around $49 and the unit will be completely refurbished and returned quickly. Cannot beat them.

Overall Good,
This review is from: Plantronics Tristar Headset with Noise Cancelling Microphone (Personal Computers)
I'm happy with the product. I wanted something as an alternative to the foam ear pads they give out at work. It irritates me. It's generally comfortable and I'm able to wear it for 8 hours a day without much bother or adjustments.
I've been using the product for 3 years now at a call center. At times the rubber ear bud becomes uncomfortable but minor adjustment alleviates that. The only thing that really bothers me is the pivot point of the microphone wants to twist downward under its own weight. It's a minor annoyance when I'm speaking to a hard of hearing client and have to hold up the microphone. It comes with a clip on the cord which I attach to my shirt. This prevents the cord from pulling and weighing down the ear piece.
