This short, deceptively simple book is one to read over and over in order to enjoy the many layers contained within. It speaks to some of our most basic and profound challenges as human beings in a lovely and accessible way. As a therapist and educator I found it moving and astute. As a mother of young children, I found it a great opportunity to take my kids to whatever levels of questioning they were ready for. We will enjoy reading it for years to come. I look forward to more from Mr. DiGiovanna in the future.

This novelette by James DiGiovanna was a pleasure to read. But of course, the story explores what pleasure and pain mean in the first place --- depending on... (I'm not going to spoil it, people!) The mood of the story is cerebral but also concrete, clinical and yet friendly. Are the electrons worth $2? It's hard to put a price on binary strings, but I for one am not sad I bought it. And I apperceive that, too.
