4.0 out of 5 stars Plants and Flowers!, July 24, 2000
By A Customer
This book starts with different foods on a table. It explains how each one of the foods came from a specific plant or flower. Next, it explores plants and how they are grouped. Each double-page spread that follows introduces a new topic, such as insects and pollen. Information is given and then questions are asked that encourage children to make discoveries and develop new ideas for themselves. The life cycle of a flower is described and illustrated at the end. A list of vocabulary words and their definitions appear at the back for review.
