Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I loved Plants VS Zombies but I was disappointed. I thought the disco zombie version would be different but it plays the same as the first. Only thing different about it is that it comes with a miniature disco zombie figure.

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
When I first heard of this game I found the concept, by name only to sound stupid. I was wrong, maybe the concept is weird, but the game is so fun it is addictive.
I had a free version of the original and when it ran out, I ordered the disco version. Disco version is more fun and more playing options versus the free version.
I have really enjoyed wasting away boring days playing this game.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tower Defense Addiction May 7, 2012
Verified Purchase
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I've played more than my share of tower defense games through the years. They're fun, challenging, require a bit of strategy, but you don't need to have four hands and ninja coordination to play them. Plants vs Zombies is one of the best TD games I've ever played. It has so many bonus features, minigames, etc to keep you entertained long after you've beaten the adventure mode. Popcap needs to release a Plants vs Zombies II (with bigger yards for more melon catapulting goodness) yesterday. That would be the first game I'd preorder in a long time.

For those of you who are curious - the disco zombie edition just gives you a disco zombie figurine to collect dust on your desk. He's cute, in an undead sort of way.

5.0 out of 5 stars So addictive... It's almost zombifying April 6, 2013

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I bought Plants Vs. Zombies originally for the DS, I played it day and night, every moment I had spare time...

Plants Vs. Zombies is a tower defense like game where you play at the plant army defending your yard, home, and humans from the zombie invasion that's happening on your block. You can choose from many different plants to defend your home, day or night, in water, or in the rain, doesn't matter, all the levels are challenging and fun! There are many different types of zombies that you encounter as well, ranging from typical weak zombies, to large ogre like abominations, also zombies that have learned how to operate machinery...

In most versions of this game achievements and extras are unlocked after you get to certain milestones in the game or after you beat the game the first time, including your own collection of the plants in a peaceful environment (zombie free!), and mini games that are spin offs of the original game, for instance, you can play a version that plays like Bejeweled, but with plants... And zombies!

I decided to buy this game for PC as well because of the neato collectible figurine that comes with it, in this case, the disco zombie, which you encounter in the game quite frequently. You also get exclusive wallpapers and cut outs, which is awesome!

Upon playing this game for DS, and playing it on PC, I also purchased it on the PlayStation Network on PS3. All the games run a little differently, but if you are in for a challenge or just want to have some good old fashioned vegan zombie fighting action, buy this game! It never gets old... And besides... Who is going to protect your lawn from the zombies other than you??? ;) "Bbbbbrrraaaiiinnnss!!!"

4.0 out of 5 stars Addictive to be sure! March 7, 2013

Love the plants and the zombies. Enjoy the zen gardens too. The more I play the more I get to know the characteristics of each plant and zombie. Enjoy changing my game plans in the battles when I figure out what works best. Absolutely adore the credits video!! "There are Zombies on your lawn..." lol The mini games and puzzles are a nice diversion. I guess my only complaint would be that you have to go through the 5 levels in order even after you have won them all.

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I was looking for a game that would play on my new Mac OSX 10.7.2, which was really hard to find. I came across this game & thought it sounded so silly. I read the comments and went ahead and got it. Now, I can't stop playing it! I showed my 13 year old grandson & he loves it too.

This game is wonderful!!!

PvZ is so addicting, keeps the kids quiet for hours! I've had to reinstall however, lost all progress. Now back to keeping my head, giving the controls back to the kids.
