5.0 out of 5 stars PLASMA STAND FOR 50"
THIS STAND IS AWESOME. VERY EASY TO INSTALL (ABOUT 45 MIN.). JUST LOOKS AWESOME WITH THE PLASMA ATTACHED. I BOUGHT AN LG 50" AND IT FITS PERFECTLY. ALL THE HARDWARE IS INCLUDED. VERY NICE QUALITY, NOT THE CHEAP CRAPPY STUFF U SEE AT OTHER PLACES. GET IT U WILL ENJOY IT.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice but the TV droops a bit
A well manufactured glass and steel construction TV cabinet. The display heighth is fixed and not much of a plus over just having the TV resting on its normal stand. I have a 2009 50" TOC Samsung Plasma display, and while it fits the rack stand with the hardware included, the Plasma seems to be too heavy for this unit--listing about 5 degs forward. 3.0 out of 5 stars Nice but the TV droops a bit, January 8, 2010

This review is from: LCD LED Plasma TV Stand 32" 37" 40" 42" 46 " 48" 50" 52" PANASONIC , SONY , VISIO , LG, SAMSUNG with CABLE Management Flat Panel (Electronics)
I have maybe 6" of clearance from the top shelf with the TV loaded. The supports are 2 metal rods hidden w/in the alumnium posts you see at the back of the pix. There are 2 tension rods, about 32" height, that are screwed-in bottom and bolted at top over the surrounded aluminum shell. I'm thinking about removing the upper display rack and just using the old stand and placing on the top shelf. The cable mgmt is a bit misleading since you cannot run wires through the alumnimum posts; the glass shelves do not have holes to pass the wires through. Depth of the shelves could be a little more (my sound system and cable box barely fit depth-wise).

The instructions are just schematics but it isn't difficult to put together. It's heavy. Overall, for the price it looks quite nice and does the job; wish the support was a little more sturdy. The packaging was excellent.

5.0 out of 5 stars TV Stand, September 2, 2009
This review is from: LCD LED Plasma TV Stand 32" 37" 40" 42" 46 " 48" 50" 52" PANASONIC , SONY , VISIO , LG, SAMSUNG with CABLE Management Flat Panel (Electronics)
Great stand, exactly what I was looking for. However, IMPOSSIBLE to read and understand directions. Might has well been in Japanese (I don't speak or read Japanese). Only way I was able to assemble stand was by looking at the picture and trial and error. Directions are absolutely useless. Good luck putting it together, but once it is together, LOOKS AMAZING!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great product, poor instructions, September 13, 2009
This review is from: LCD LED Plasma TV Stand 32" 37" 40" 42" 46 " 48" 50" 52" PANASONIC , SONY , VISIO , LG, SAMSUNG with CABLE Management Flat Panel (Electronics)
This stand is a great piece of furniture for your large TV, but the instructions for assembly are VERY poorly written and difficult to understand. I had to go to the picture of it on Amazon in order to see HOW to put it together.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great once I fixed it, August 14, 2010

This item was the "one" out of all of them this fit what I wanted exactly, even tho it was one of the few I had to pay for shipping
I read all of the whole five reviews and knew going into it the construction was straight forward but non-existing documentation. What I did not expect was to spend and hour cutting (that's right cutting) with a hacksaw one of the metal chrome legs that was about a half inch too long, thank god the Chinese left it long and not short, it's offensive to me this BS happens, it seems on all the crap that comes from overseas have no quality control to speak of. The glass is tempered and is actually decent opaque believe it or not once I "fixed" their screwup it lifted the TV up higher then I wanted it, this was a concern due to another reviewer stating it "only sat off the top shelf five inches or so" paraphrasing there, but we lowered it 3 times to get it to the height I wanted. So dont expect a great product well put together with all part needed ect. Ect. But finished product is quite nice. I did have to "bend" the metal bracket outta my way to get it at it's lowest point, to make room for the plug on my panasonic 50" plasma, even tho it states my tv on the ad, the plug on these tvs are almost middle of its back, but again it was not a concern until we lowered it, but still do-able.
One more thing worth mentioning is the bracket system is damn well thought out, I would not recommend it, but if u had to u could hang it yourself because the brackets are put onto tv, then gravity hangers with a couple simple set screws hold in place, kudos on bracket system

I have a Samsung 52" TV that works well with this stand. It looks great and has lots of room for extra electronics plus you can't beat the price. The instructions sucked but if you have a little common sense, you won't have much trouble. I think if you have a TV bigger than a 52" or much heavier, you might want to check some other options but it is stong enough to handle what I have.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Stand, November 20, 2011

Great sturdy stand. Assembly instructions weren't the best but I was able to piece it together. The cable management works, it's not amazing but it's better than nothing, you if there are a lot of cables the holes can be difficult to push more cables through. The glass on top scratched, I actually have no idea what happened there. It was perfect for my first 3 months but I have some careless room mates now so I think that was probably the culprit. I would recommend this stand to friends, but I haven't looked at many others, I've just been satisfied with how this one has performed.

The stand was easy to assemble and of very good quality. It looks very elegant and sturdy. I could not use the TV mount due the space restriction so just put the TV with the stand that came with it on the top of the stand. There was enough space on the shelves to put 6 audio/video equipments on them. I highly recommend this stand.

3.0 out of 5 stars Terrible and Wonderful, February 14, 2011

A good piece, once you get it assembled and in place. However, that first step is a doozy.

It's a very attractive piece, mostly black and designed to "disappear" especially when you turn the lights out to watch movies. There is plenty of space in the three shelves for your components, and when mounted a TV set leaves enough room beneath it for a center speaker. Its open design makes it easy to get around or behind it to work on components or wiring. Don't pay attention to the "cable management" claims: All that means is that there are holes in the center post through which you can thread some wires. Because of the unit's open design, however, that doesn't make any difference.

It is in getting the piece to that point (ready to use, with your TV on it) that you will tear your hair out. First, the piece arrived in an enormous plywood crate that I was at first befuddled as to how to open. Nice if I had known I would need a crowbar. Not a big deal, though, as everything inside is safe and intact. As other reviewers here have pointed out, the assembly instructions are virtually worthless. They consist of one side of one sheet of paper, and pretty much no words -- it's a big rebus. This would work better if the pictures were at all distinguishable from one another. You can't tell if you're using the right piece, or whether it's turned the right way, so you're shooting in the dark. Add to this the fact that you get different numbers of each piece from what's specified in the packing list, and the fact that even once the piece is fully assembled you'll have a full ziploc bag's worth of leftover hardware, and you may as well just toss the instructions and build it as though it were a lego set.

There are no instructions for attaching your TV to the mount, so if your TV doesn't come with those instructions (as mine didn't), you'll need to find out or get someone who knows to help you. I do not advise trial-and-error.

Most of the individual pieces seem shoddy and fall apart as soon as you take them out of their bags. Everything holds together eventually, because of gravity, but in the meantime be careful to keep track of what goes with what. Make sure you have plenty of room for assembly, and a second person to help you puzzle out the logic of it (which is the only way to build this thing) will help. Finally, build it as close as possible to the spot where you want to put it, because it's unwieldy and awkward to move once it is assembled.
