4.0 out of 5 stars A powerful, easy to use wet saw!
I recently purchased this wet saw to do some tiling work in my kitchen and bathroom. I had my doubts about tackling a tiling project myself. But once I started making a few cuts, I couldn't get over how easy it was to use. It was able to cut marble tiles just as easily as small 4x4 ceramic tiles. Plus, the instruction booklet even features a page on tiling tips which...

2.0 out of 5 stars just not what i needed
This tile saw may be usefull for small applications but I found that it was just not sufficiant for cutting multiple 12 inch tiles. I ended up getting an mk660 off amazon that worked wonders. Check it out it's an awesome tile saw.

This wet saw will definately get the job done.

Amazon shipped this in a plain brown box, no manual, instruction, description of any type. The motor assembly was not well aligned and the blade rubbed against the table. I called Plasplug and to their credit they cross shipped another box. The new box is nicely package, and there was no problems. The table is made of solid metal and is very sturdy. Once up and running, this is a very capable saw. The motor is super noisy. Cuts nice and clean, and was suffiently powerfull...never bogged down. The miter guide is actually useful and easy to adjust. I'm real happy with the machine itself, but not with the way amazon got it to me. Clearly it was some customer returned/used item. Amazon is a great place to get tools. They have the best prices by far. I've ordered dozens of power tools through them. This is an anomally, and is not typical of amazon service. 5 star for the product and support from plasplugs, and 4 star for amazon due to the condition in which it arrived.

I had borrowed a friends saw (another brand), and decided to invest in a wet saw for myself. Based on the reviews on Amazon, I went with the Plasplug, and I'm not sorry. It is not super fast cutting, due to the gear drive, but it also doesn't give you a shower, as my friend's did. My first use of it was with 12" square porceline floor tile, and it handled them fine. The drainage system also works very well to keep the runoff in the reservoir where it belongs, and everythiing can be stored inside, which makes it very convenient when not in use. For the money, I don't think the average homeowner can go wrong with this unit.

I don't know how this saw will perform, since it came with several parts missing or broken, and no manual or instructions. To their credit, PlasPlugs responded promptly to a phone call and provided replacement parts. Perhaps when I get it assembled it will run ok, but I don't think Amazon can be trusted to provide you with a working model.
