This is not one of my proudest moments, but I ordered this stool without looking at the dimensions. I don't know what possessed me to do that, but I think it was that the picture makes it look fairly tall and, coupled with the fact that the stool is adjustable, I somehow became convinced that, at it's tallest, the stool would be around the height of a typical bar stool. This is just a quick review to let you know that that is not the case.

The stool is (as described) a fairly short stool. At it's highest, it is a little taller than a normal chair, but only by an inch or two. All that said, it can be assembled in less than 10 minutes without any tools, is very sturdy, and is surprisingly comfortable - a factor both of the contour of the seat and the fact that the gas cylinder gives the seat a little bounce. My impression was that it would be a great idea for someone looking for a reasonably priced drum set stool, or perhaps less so, a good option for working in the driveway on your car. The real moral of the story, though, is to note the stated seat height (17" - 23 1/4"). If that will work for you, then this is a very good option.

I was shocked at the quality of this stool. When I opened the package I thought I had purchased a piece of junk. After putting it together and actually using it I was thankful that I did not purchase the alternatives at $150 and up. The stool looks much more stylish without the wheels and the gliders allow the stool to move effortlessly across carpet. The hight adjustment works well. The seat is comfortable to use for extended periods of time at the computer. This thing is sturdy. It holds up to two little boys hanging on to it and spinning in circles. It looks nice with our Chick Black Table and iMac. Great value for the money.

For $38 this is a great stool. It doesn't scuff up my hardwood floors, and slides easily on most surfaces. The top spins freely so it's great when you're doing something that requires you to pivot around. The seat is very comfortable for hard plastic. I wouldn't recommend it for very long periods because, like any stool, it has no back support.

It's dead simple to put together. If I had any criticism it would be that the difference between the lowest and highest setting is about 6" (17" to 23"), but hey, that's given in the specs. It's just a tad low for sitting at my kitchen counter, but I have one in my garage and one in a closet, and any time I need a quick extra seat, this is my go-to.

P.S. This makes an AWESOME RockBand drummer stool.

I bought this little stool because of the reviews. When it arrived, I was thrilled. It was just what I was looking for, the heights were perfect for my use. Alas, the first time I sat on it, the pneumatic adjustment failed. It slowly sank to it's lowest height even though I am only 5'2" and 122 pounds. I like the design and general sturdiness of it so much, I will order another. Hopefully, the first was just a fluke. Will report back after I receive and use the next one for a while.

I ordered this because it does NOT have wheels and it is on the small side. We have stained concrete floors and our previous rolling office chair made awful marks. This very sturdy little stool has a great swivel seat, adjustable height, sturdy base, and is small enough to fit inside of our computer armoire when we aren't using it. It is bascially a perfect little stool.

I have used these stools for over 6 months now for bench rest shooting. They have held up quite well so far. They have been a excellent product and are of very good quality.

I am quite pleased with this product. It swivels nicely and is very comfortable. I am glad that it is compact unlike so many swivel stools. Although I would not consider this a heavy duty stool as the materials are more lightweight than others I have seen, this is a plus for me as it is easily moved around. I really appreciate the curved seat base - very comfortable.

I bought this because I have sciatic nerve problems and sitting in a chair at my desk for long hours just kills it. With the stool, I can swivel, bend, move my legs around, twirl if I want to. It's much more comfortable. It set up in about a minute, is very good quality, especially for the price.

This is one great little stool. Just what I was looking for when I go to the shooting range. The range of adjustment goes from chair height to short stool - perfect! Don't buy this if you are looking for a bar stool, but for everything else it's solid and comfortable.

I'm 5'1" tall and this is the most comfortable stool for me to sit on and do work (massage therapist). The seat is hard plastic, but it is shaped in a way that is very comfortable (bowl shaped). The seat swivels completely around and that's a great thing! I put round felt pads on the feet and it slides around on my hardwood floors very nicely.
