Book Description

981022267X 978-9810222673 June 1996
From the mechanics point of view, this monograph systematically illustrates the theory of plastic bending and its engineering applications. Most of the contents of this book are based on research carried out by the authors during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The monograph not only expounds the authors' contributions to the fundamental theory of plastic bending, but also demonstrates various applications of this theory in the sheet metal forming, especially in the analysis and prediction of the large deflection, springback and wrinkling of strips and plates during bending or stamping. Besides theoretical modelling, attention has also been paid to the development of related numerical method; comparisons with experimental results are also presented.
