4.0 out of 5 stars Reliable, no frills protection
The product works as advertised. Basically, it consists of two clear, hard plastic sides that click together, leaving only essential of areas of your iPod exposed (the product does not cover or protect the glass face).

The biggest drawback of the product is that the shell may make the iPod too wide to fit in the docking station for your speaker, alarm clock,...

The company sent me the WRONG case!!! I specifically ordered a iTOUCH case, and they sent me an IPHONE case!! It still fits on the itouch, but there is an awkward hole in the back where the camera on the iphone would be!! I think that the company should focus more on customer service than simply getting a product out! I will NOT be making any more purchases from them!

The product works as advertised. Basically, it consists of two clear, hard plastic sides that click together, leaving only essential of areas of your iPod exposed (the product does not cover or protect the glass face).

The biggest drawback of the product is that the shell may make the iPod too wide to fit in the docking station for your speaker, alarm clock, etc. So you have to take that into consideration. I have a Logitech speaker system with an iPod dock, and I have to take the cover off in order to dock my iTouch.

Removing the cover isn't easy; and it is certainly not the thing to do if one has just gotten their nails done, but it isn't impossible, just takes some patience.

If you foresee needing to remove your iPod from its protective case frequently, probably a clamshell type product is not the best way to go. I expect to get a different kind of case to protect the glass screen as well.

Otherwise, this product offers good protection for the money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Plastic Crystal Hard Case for iPod Touch 2G & 3G - Clear, November 24, 2009

I felt that this was easy to put on and take off. There is a little slit on the right hand side that you can use your finger nail to pop the case back off. It is really easy once you understand it. The only thing I don't really like about it is the fact that the case itself gets scratched up, however it does protect my iTouch from harm. I have dropped it and the case stayed on as well. I would buy it as long as you don't mind your case getting scratched. I bought mine from myGearStore.

5.0 out of 5 stars good buy, August 5, 2009

I have used this case for over 3 months and it is great; it is well worth the price. I have not dropped my ipod so I can not say to it's help in that regard but I do like how it gives the ipod just a little extra size so that I don't feel like it is going to fall out of my hand. It does not work well w/ any old docking stations that you have for older ipods - the docks are too small and the case prevents you from getting a connection in the dock. I also experienced that I could not connect our surround sound cord to the earphone port because the size of the cord was too big preventing a good connection. For general use of your ipod w/ headphones, this product is good for the money.

I needed a clear case for an ipod as a gift. The package it came in was not anything protective or anything you would want to give to someone as a present. I wanted to make sure it would fit the ipod it was going to so I tried it on mine first. Once it's on it won't come off. I struggled for a while trying to get this case off without harming it or damaging it. I guess it's doing it's job by not popping off every other second but it's very annoying if you need to remove it for any reason because it won't come off easily. There are some things on the case that sort of give away that it's not for the ipod 3. It's got an ear hole as if it were for a phone and it doesn't match the picture. I can't really complain though because I paid barely aything for it. As one of the only clear cases i could find it does the job it needs to do and protects the ipod.

5.0 out of 5 stars nice item nice price durable, August 14, 2010

My itouch fell out of my pocket a couple of times and this cover saved it from any damage.
It is pretty durable and hasn't broken yet.
I haven't had problems removing the cover yet. It just pops open for me.
I use my finger nail to pop open the top left corner and the rest of the side pops open easily for me.
Nice price for the purpose I bought it for. Had it for about 8 months now.

This is okay I guess for the price, but the tabs that hold the 2 pieces together slowly broke off, 1-by-1, after about 3 months. I would take it off about once a week (switching between this and a silicone case), which I dont think is excessive, but it likely put too much stress on those tabs. Perhaps they expect you to snap your iPod in and never remeve it. But a lot of dust and crap sneaks in between it and the iPod, and will scratch up your iPod back/edges/screen if not cleaned out periodically. Thats exactly what youre trying to prevent. Since the metal surface now looks all scratched anyway, I now just dont use a case at all. If I had it to do over again, I'd probably just pay for one of those full-body skins that can be applied directly to the surface of the iPod.

It was broken!!!!! It came broken and I could not fix it!! There was no return address or phone number that I could call to address my issues. I believe this was done on purpose so that the seller could receive money for a damaged product!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Really great looking! Some Problems but can easily be solved!!, November 29, 2009
This review is from: Plastic Crystal Hard Case for iPod Touch 2G & 3G - Clear (Electronics)
Well, I recently found this case (not on Amazon), but on the actual website and I immediately fell in love with the look, and price of the product! It looks exactly as it shows. I features a transparent case that goes around the entire iPod Touch, into two seperate parts, the back and the front. However there is a small hole cut out for the Home button, which is a really nice selling point for me, I hate the covers that cover up the Home button! It also does not protect the actual Touch Screen, that space is left open for screen protectors, etc.

One thing you'll notice more into the later times when you use the cover is the lack of space provided towards the volume and lock controls. I noticed when I went to turn up my music, and it took me a while to actually press the button! You actually have to dig you fingernail in there to press them, which is somewhat of a flaw in the construction of the case. The second flaw is there are indentations in the back of the case piece, which if you are like me, you are obsessed with keeping the back nice and shiny, with no scratches! If you would to keep reading on to fix these, I'll provide some nifty hints on how you can EASILY fix these for no more than 50¢!! Other than that the basic review is done! Thank you for reading, and if you're not done, than why not grab some Hot Cocoa and read on? Awesome!

Ok, first thing we'll get to is the volume and power control! What I did was, I have a WoodShop class in my High School, so I figured instead of doing worthless Scroll Saw projects, why not improve my FANTASTIC $1 Case? I took a small piece of Sandpaper of around 80 grit, 100 grit or finer will work fine as well ( Make sure to remove the iPod Touch from the casing ;] ) and lightly sanded the area for the volume control down. By doing this you can wither away that excess plastic from the case to custom match your iPod Touch volume control!

Now, the tricky part, the indents! EVERY single person who owns an iPod Touch HATES them, DESPISES, if you will. They are hard to maneuver around, and they scratch the back of your shiny coat. Well, here's an extremely simple way I came up with while doing homework, that easily fix the annoyance! What you'll do is line up where the indentations are and stick a small piece of clear tape ( make sure the tape is not super-thin ) and stick it right where it aligns with the indent. This'll make sure that instead of your iPod getting scratched we've got our trusty ol' piece of tape to take the beating! I know, very "ghetto." But it get's the job done!

And now, I'm gonna end this before I get out of hand with all the imperfections I'd end up scouting out, or finding one where there isn't! So, I would definitely rate this product a 5/5. If my rating says 4.5/5 IT'S WRONG I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! *erm* Anyway, good luck with the product, it's a very nice fit!
