I bought these pirates to go with my son's Imaginext pirate ship and they're great. They're just the right size and while they're cheap and not as cool as the pirates that came with the ship, my son certainly doesn't care and has lots of fun with them anyway. The best part is they weren't very expensive and have held up nicely so far.

Years ago I bought similar toy pirates in a different color scheme. I assumed these ones would be just like them, but in brighter colors. While they are molded in the same flexable, durable plasic, their paint jobs are rather crumby. Maybe a child would enjoy them at the beach. But they would look cheap and sloppy in a school diorama. They lack the appeal the same pirate figures had years ago with nicely painted features. Details makes the difference.

My son loves pirates. These, however obviously not the quality of the pirate guys you can buy in the store, are great. They are a great size for his pirate ship and treasure chest. The paint is a little off on some of them (ie... the black dots for the eyeballs are on the forehead etc...) but he doesn't seem to mind. they are pretty small so they are easy to loose. But for the price, just get 2 sets. just a note...The arms and legs dont move.

I was very pleased with these pirates. My grandson got a pirate ship for Christmas but it only had a couple of figures with it. He needed more pirates to play with and these are just the right size and didn't break the bank, either. Thanks

Ordered these figures for my almost 3 year old to use with his favorite pirate ship. However the figures will not stand on their own. Not on a hard surface and definitely not on carpet. If you have a little one who is still working on dexterity, forget this item. They will not stand and they will frustrate the child who is trying. I can't even make them stand.

My grandchildren love playing and using their imagination with little "guys"...I can't wait till they come here and discover them! Inexpensive and fun. I would buy them again.

My grandsons keep these in my car so they can play with them whenever they ride with me. They remind me of the "army men" my cousins used to play with when we were little. The boys really enjoy making up stories as they play with them. A good value for the money!

With these pirates you definately get what you pay for quality wise. They are approx. 3 inches big and made of rubbery plastic. The paint on them is questionable and if your child might put them in their mouths this is not a good toy. That being said, my boys love them, they use them in the sand box and play with them for hours at a time, they are versatile and invade the bath tub as well. You get twelve, two of each kind. What I really like is that they are definately colorful pirates but not scary or violent looking! These would be great party favors for a pirate themed party.

I was expecting these to fit into the imaginext pirates of the caribean ship. My son lost the original men that came with it. These pirates were very small and cheap looking. I would not have purchased for the price if I had seen them first. Not worth the price but my son does play with them although he is disappointed that they don't fit into the foot molds in the ship.

I bought this for my son for Christmas this year (he does not have it yet). They are great little pirates, they are a good size for his Imaginext ship & pirates (which is why I bought them). The do not have bases, so they do not stand on their own, but I have yet to meet a 4 year old boy that "poses" their figures, so it's all good. Other posts state that the printing was off. Mine were fine. They seem very sturdy, well printed and I KNOW he is going to be thrilled. If you're looking for fun pirates for your young child, you would be a fool to pass up the bargain!!!
