5.0 out of 5 stars Love this CD, February 7, 2004

I discovered it on my yahoo radio, and had been looking for it for over a year...as far as I know, it was never released for air play in the United States. Luckily, Itunes had it, and I've been listening to it for weeks in the car. Love it. If you liked New Order back in their heyday, you'll probably like this CD.

4.0 out of 5 stars As usual, a collection of remixes..., September 9, 2002
This review is from: Plastique Nouveau (Audio CD)
...loaded with stupid songs that used to be good. Of the 4 remixes on the disc, only the "End Starts Today" remix is really worth listening to, and even then it isn't really all that great.
Still, the edit of "The End Starts Today" and the 4 original songs "Sound of Sleet," "Don't Let the Rain come down," "Make it Through," and "Brainclouds" are all great, and definitely shows a much more mellow, simple side of the usual sonic [stuff] that I have grown used to on Bis recordings. I was particularly impressed by "Make it Through," which has the strangest arrangements and lyrics I've heard in a while ("I should know I'm a medical doctor and I probably should've known"), and "Don't Let the Rain Come Down" is just plain catchy.
So, should you buy it or not? Well, if you are a Bis fan like me, then by all means, get it. Otherwise, don't. There are too many mellow songs and retarded remixes to waste your time on.
