Great to use with Power Blocks adjustable dumbbells,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Plate Mate Donut 2.5 lb. Pair (Misc.)
I bought these to use with my Power Blocks dumbbells because they adjust in 5 pound increments and I wanted to be able to change weights per hand by 2.5 pounds. The magnetic pull is very strong and they do not fall off or even slide while lifting. I think they are a little pricey for 5 pounds of weights with a few magnets attached, that is the only reason I gave them four stars instead of five. Otherwise, they are exactly what I wanted, and they work great with the Power Blocks adjustable dumbbells.

Doesn't work well with rubberized dumbbells,

The plates work well if you have dumbbells that are not rubberized (coated with a rubber protection). If the dumbbell is coated, they don't work at all. Also, if the dumbbell has a plastic end cap, the cap doesn't allow enough metal contact for the plates to stick.
