A spiritual and musical masterpiece, December 23, 2010

I accidentilly checked this cd out from the public library because it was incorrectly cataloged as celtic. It is not celtic, but tibetan traditional music infused subtly with modern instrumentation. I have not been this moved by music in a very long time. If art is a reflection of reality, then this is courageous, deeply spiritual music that reaches beyond the highest peaks of the Himalaya: a far cry from the commercial, vacuous, spiritually depraved, hedonistic work of many "popular" western artists.
I apologize for my "loss of words" in describing it further. I don't normally take the time to write reviews, leaving that to more talented writers. But I had to say something since, so far, no one else has reviewed her work.
