This is a unique and quality product. It isn't often that you find gold belly jewelry. My main way of judging quality is simple...I have lost the balls of 6 bellybutton rings since I had my son, as he kicked them out when he'd lie on my chest. Since I've been wearing this ring, that hasn't been a problem. It resists even the most squirmy of newborns.

Updated, two months later. The gold plating has rubbed off the ring and it has turned black from skin contact. I won't buy another gold-plated piece of belly jewelry.
