Useful item - but tape up those exposed terminals,

Just to be perfectly clear: this item (12V, Platinum Series Cigarette Lighter Adapter with Universal 4-Way Plugs) is NOT a voltage converter. It is a simple pass-through adapter, for runing low-power appliances directly from your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket.In my case, I was looking for an adapter cable to power some of my NiMH battery chargers (including the Maha Powerex MH-C9000 and the Duracell Mobile Charger CEF23DX2) in the car. This item, with its 5mm barrel plug, fits my requiement just fine. The price is very reasonable, especially with the free shipping option. However, I am rather paranoia about the two unused earphone plugs. This is because their positive (+) terminals are exposed. If by accident one comes into contact with the metal chassis of the car (-), it will create a direct short, which can either blow a fuse or burn out the cable. So to be safe, I suggest covering up those exposed (+) terminals with electrical tapes.

Good solid construction with a variety of tips. The easily replaceable fuse in the plug section is a nice addition.
