In French, that is. This doesn't include any of the English-language versions of his classics, but is otherwise an excellent overview of his 40+ year career. And even though my French is entry-level at best, I prefer to hear Aznavour in his native tongue.

I love Aznavour - this is its real deal. I have bought other Aznavour but this one is his original music in French. And it has its best songs

I have been wanting a Charles Aznavour collection CD for a while and thought that this would be it. I was particularly interseted in some key songs of his, such as L'amour cest comme un jour, which is not the original version I have on an old vinyl. This was particularly dissapointing. Overall the quality of the recording lacks the bass (tone) I associate with versions of Aznavour I have heard on older vinyl recordings.

He always was and still is the best. I grew up with his music. Still sounds beautiful and takes me back to my youth. I wish this generation would enjoy him the same way I do and most of my generation still does.

I have alway loved Charles Aznavour's rich, smoky, voice. This collection is great Sting emulates his voice, but there is nothing like the original. Sinatra had better been glad Aznavour was in France and not in the US, he would have had a run for his money. These thirty songs are worth every cent. People ask me who that singer is when they ride with me, they love him, as do I. My favorite is Plus bleu que tes yeux (Bluer than the blue of your eyes) both solo and with Edith Piaf, magical.

The title for this collection "Platinum Collection-Spanish Version" is a misrepresentation. It is not even a "half-truth," more like a "one-third truth."

Of the three CDs in the set, only the first CD contains songs sung in
Spanish. The songs in the other two CDs are sung in French. I ordered this set because I thought I could finally get a complete set of his songs sung in Spanish. This is not it. The first CD is a recompilation of songs sung in Spanish that are readily available in various compilations as a single CD--at a much cheaper cost.

Part of the problem for the unwary buyer is that the information for this set did not, and still does not, set forth the tracks on each CD so there was no way of knowing that two-thirds of the recordings were in French.

was looking for French music with no clear idea of what I really wanted. Found this, some songs are great others I am less thrilled with. With more hunting on my part would have picked something different

I can describe this purchase in one word FABULOUS!!!
All Azvavour fans will love it!
