5.0 out of 5 stars What, another greatest hits?, April 2, 2008
By
Some Guy (Redwood City, California United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Platinum (Audio CD)
This is a conflicted review, because I'm giving it 5 stars but not recommending it.

The 5 stars is for the music. ELO is one of my all-time favorite bands and I never, ever tire of their music. They made some fantastic, unique rock and this release is a good representation of what they've accomplished.

So why no recommendation? Well, because aren't there already about 6,000 ELO greatest hits collections and at least two, count 'em, two box sets (Afterglow and the much better Flashback)? There's no description here on Amazon, but I assume from the release date that these songs are the remasters. That would be a good thing, but if you're an ELO fan you probably already have the remastered albums, and the Flashback is all remastered (and highly, HIGHLY recommended).

If you're a casual ELO fan and would like a high-quality greatest hits collection, this one is probably a good choice. But jeez, another one?
