One never knows what to expect when purchasing a reissue of an old recording, converted from analog to digital, from the old black vinyl to the shiney disc with little silicone thingies storing bits and bites. Ergo, I was thrilled with the Eartha Kitt reissue. It sounds as if she is live in the room with you, in perfect voice (purrrrrrrr), singing through state of the art 2006 equipment. The producers have put their money on the sound, not the cover art. Don't let the black and white photo make you hesitate. Go for it. Eartha is one in a million. One could not mistake that voice for anyone else's. Sensual, silky, smokey. Is it too early to ask Santa Baby to bring you a CD?

How can the voice of Eartha Kit be anything but sexy, smooth and very enjoyable. I love the music of hers that I downloaded.
