I was hoping for something like the only other album I have from him. Unfortuantely, this "sounds" flat and muddy. I can't say that I'm happy with this recording - at least I hope it's just the recording. I'll be move selective and cautious if I look to buy one of his CDs again.

I can't stress enough how great this particular CD was recorded. It sounds like a digital master recording. Michael Hedges created a whole new style of guitar playing in the early 80's. Many have followed in his footsteps such as Don Ross, Andy McKee, Antoine Dufour, etc;

The late Michael Hedges was an extraordinarily gifted Guitar player and his music packs up so much inspiration, easily summoning so much beauty and the special pleasantries which only great works of Art do.
I love his works and this is great collection of his best music! |
