This collection of hits from STARSHIP is really fun. They had there own unique sound that lit up the dance floors. Listening to this CD takes me back to many classic rock memories as this group really pulled it off.

This is a great comp. it has the track " SARA" which is a classic in my book...it sounds awesome.I am always lookin' for new remastered versions.The majarity of the cds released in the 80s sound pretty thin...Not all but many that I've noticed.And everytime I make my own compilations I want them sounding great.Next Time...EG

I have always been a fan of Starship since We Built This City came out and this collection has all their hits. Highlights are their No1s, We Built This City, Sara and Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now. Thier music is plain pop and I have to warn Jefferson Starship or Airplane fans that this type of music might not be suitable for them. Starship's music is pure 80s and all their songs have great hooks and melodies, not unlike most 80s music. The remastering is also great, hence the sound is crisp and clear. How i wish other Platinum & Gold Collections could be as comprehensive as this as most of P & G collections omit a few hits.

Buy this and relive the time you will weep when storms are brewing in your eyes.

Don't get me wrong. I am a HUGE fan of Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship. I am a longtime listener of both groups.

However, I can't say the same for Starship. At this point, the legendary 1960s rockers were limited down to four members, and almost the entire Jefferson Starship lineup had moved on. Unlike the previous two Jefferson projects, Starship was leaning towards 1980s pop.

I like some '80s pop, and I do like 'We Built This City' and 'Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now.' However, other than those two songs, I didn't like them. They are a little too poppy for my tastes.

If you're a longtime Jeffersons fan like I am, than this is a welcome addition to your collection. Otherwise, I would stick to buying Jefferson Starship and Jefferson Airplane albums. I would even try their installments in the 'Platinum & Gold Collection' series.

Recommended for '80s pop-rock and Jeffersons fans.
