2.0 out of 5 stars Dont Mess with the original version
DONT ADD ANY SOUNDS THAT DONT BELONG THERE. I hate when other sounds such as the girl screaming and the bell was added. That is not the original version. It is ashamed that the Bruk Out riddim is only availible on this cd with those sounds added. There is more song with the bruk out riddim. Kill dem by harry toddler and a few other song with the bruk out riddim is not...

5.0 out of 5 stars This C.D. jus wicked, November 28, 1998

I have listened to this c.d ten...... no 50........ times and i still can't get enough. I am from Barbados and I can tell you this C.D has mashed up the place. With Beenie Man on the Bookshelf Riddum an Bounti Killa on the Bruk Out riddum you can't go wrong. Also with strong backup from Baby Cham, Mad Cobra, Sean Paul and my favourite dj Spragga Benz this C.D is just the best album for the year. Buy it enjoy it and enjoy it again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Di Baddest Bl%&$Claat Riddim, February 21, 2009

I have been looking for this CD for years now and I'm so happy that I finally got it. I just read someone's review about not liking the other sounds on the CD - I disagree with that review because the extra sounds ar exactly why I bought this mix CD - MADDDD HYPE.

It is ashamed that the Bruk Out riddim is only availible on this cd with those sounds added. There is more song with the bruk out riddim. Kill dem by harry toddler and a few other song with the bruk out riddim is not availible anywhere. Album editing is a terrible thing. There should be a riddim driven cd availible for every single riddim that exists.

5.0 out of 5 stars SO WICKED YOU CANT STAND STILL!!!!, November 19, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Platinum Jam 98 (Audio CD)
This is a great CD with two of the wickedest riddims out now in Dancehall.. the Bookshelf and teh Bruckout. The best part is the fact it is done in mix dj style. So the beat never ends. I listened to this in the store and was hooked. I'm sure you will be too. The sound fx are just like a real selecta was playin the tunes. Non stop fun with this selection here. My only complaint is MORE ! ! ! More tunes. The CD got me so hyped I wanted more.

5.0 out of 5 stars This CD "Mash-up-di-place!!!", November 13, 1998

An overview of this CD,has prompted me to believe that the selection of tunes offered on this CD are the chart-toppers of late 1998. With names like Bounty Killer, Baby Cham, Beenie Man and Sean Paul on the same compilation you can't go wrong. The two hot riddims featured on this are the "Bookshelf" riddim and the "Bruck-out" riddim. Get ready to mash up the dancehall with these soon-to-be-classic tunes. Big Up!!!
