5.0 out of 5 stars Buyer beware! - I was enticed with the free shipping that knocked off $5.00
I was skeptical of ordering a ring online, but was enticed with the $30,000 off. Then free shipping!!! That saved me an additional $5.00. Seeing that I purchased right away. I pulled out my capital one credit card, after thinking "Whats in your wallet!".
The overdraft fees once my credit card went over by $280,000 are a little steep. It also bumped up my interest...

3.0 out of 5 stars Too slow
Unfortunately, the three to five day shipping period on this ring was two days too long -- I missed my chance, and now she's living with a marimba player.

I have to wonder if, after all, I should've sprung for paid overnight delivery.

The overdraft fees once my credit card went over by $280,000 are a little steep. It also bumped up my interest rate going over that far. From 4% to 29.95%. My purchase has $90000 of interest per year. With my minimum payment of $8756 per month, I'll have it paid off in 938 years!

4.0 out of 5 stars Secret Powers?, May 7, 2009
This review is from: Platinum Radiant Cut 3-Stone Diamond Ring with Trapezoid Side Stones (GIA Certified 5.46 ct center, 7.69 cttw, G Color, VS2 Clarity), Size 6 (Jewelry)
This ring is pretty nice... I guess. What the description doesn't tell you is that it's made from SPACE diamonds. Space diamonds are pretty sweet, mostly because humans have different reactions to them. Some get secret powers, some go completely mad. It's kind of a crap shoot. When I bought mine, fortunately, I was given a secret power. The instruction booklet doesn't tell you which power you're getting, so you have to try a bunch of different stuff out.
Jumped off my roof - can't fly.
Had brother-in-law shoot me - not bullet proof.
I'm typing this from the hospital, so I don't have super-healing powers.

I'm so excited to get home and keep trying to figure out which power I have. Poison-resistant? Flame-proof? who knows! That's the fun!

Hope you enjoy your space ring!

5.0 out of 5 stars I had my doubts..., March 10, 2009
This review is from: Platinum Radiant Cut 3-Stone Diamond Ring with Trapezoid Side Stones (GIA Certified 5.46 ct center, 7.69 cttw, G Color, VS2 Clarity), Size 6 (Jewelry)
When my girlfriend subtly added this to her wish-list, I have to admit I had my doubts. Not about the marriage -- no, I love this woman and WILL make her my wife now that I know she wants me "that way". No, I had doubts about buying a ring online. I don't know a lot about diamonds, but it looked a little more "blingy" than the pieces at Sears, which I had been regularly browsing on my breaks since meeting her at Hot Topic. Sure I buy car repair manuals, action figures, knives, and prescription drugs on-line -- but never something as precious as jewelry for the finger of my soul-mate. What if it didn't fit? Would I send her finger to Jeff Bezos? He wouldn't want that....

Without a credit card of my own, I knew I would have to do things differently and "think outside this box" if I wanted to win her heart and give her the ring of her dreams. Was I sure, really sure, I wanted to do what was necessary to secure $338,800.00 in cash to send to Jeff Bezos in exchange for this ring?

Friends, my doubts were eliminated completely when I saw that the ring of the dreams of the girl of MY dreams was so dramatically discounted thanks to Amazon's low-low prices! I knew Amazon offered the best prices in town on authentic reproduction movie-set quality knives from films such as Predator II and TV's Heroes, but when I saw that this ring was normally $338,800.00 and that it was bargain basemented to the ridiculously low-low price of $118,800.00 I knew immediately that this was roughly 40%. Plus free shipping!? Watch your mail Jeff Bezos, what a bargain!

This ring is pretty good. It sparkles a lot especially when there is light on it. It doesn't weigh too much, like most other cheaper rings, so you don't get tired as fast when you're wearing it. It is nice to have the GIA certificate--they are a pretty important organization. Also, the ring is made of diamonds and titanium so it should be okay to wear in the shower and most kinds of inclement weather. The trapezoidal, radiant cut gives the ring extra tensile strength in case it gets sat on or something.

Anyways, it looks nice on my toe. Ever since I had my hands cut off, my feet and junk are the only place I can wear rings. Luckily my next-to-the-big-toe toe is a size six so this ring fits pretty good. I probably would have gotten this ring even if I had to pay for shipping.

PS--If you decide to get this, don't throw away the luxury finished-wood box. It makes an excellent potpourri dish and/or ashtray after you've taken the ring out.

Listen, I'll cut to the chase. If you don't buy this ring the terrorists win. I feel safer for having purchased this ring for my 6 year old daughter. She wears it to school, to the playground, to dance class, even swimming. The other girls on the playground sometimes laugh and tell her its just fake but they change their mind quickly when they fell each and every facet of the nearly 8 carat's embedded into their forehead.
I'm planning on taking out a 4th mortgage on my house to buy one for my other daughter soon.

Come on, people, the economy isn't going to stimulate itself! You NEED to buy this ring! You can't afford not to. WE can't afford not to!

5.0 out of 5 stars Breathtaking, March 1, 2009
This review is from: Platinum Radiant Cut 3-Stone Diamond Ring with Trapezoid Side Stones (GIA Certified 5.46 ct center, 7.69 cttw, G Color, VS2 Clarity), Size 6 (Jewelry)
When my fiance told me to choose whatever ring I wanted, I just knew I had to have this little beauty! What a stunner! I always knew I would marry for love and...money...exorbitant amounts of money! What better way to get my friends to stand up and take notice, than with this gorgeous piece? One of those prissy sh**s had the nerve to point out that I could buy something like ten hybrids for this price! Well, that's the point silly! And I want everybody to know it when I strut by on Madison Avenue! I'll keep my pearl white Escalade and chic Hummer 2 limo thank you very much! After all, I can afford to help fund foreign oil and support diamond mine atrocities at the same time! Now ladies, that's what I call multitasking!

As nice as this ring is, I can't help feeling it's a bit overpriced. I'm going to wait until it drops to $217,500 before shelling out any of my hard earned cash. Amazon must think we're made of money!

4.0 out of 5 stars wrong size, May 7, 2009
This review is from: Platinum Radiant Cut 3-Stone Diamond Ring with Trapezoid Side Stones (GIA Certified 5.46 ct center, 7.69 cttw, G Color, VS2 Clarity), Size 6 (Jewelry)
I'd been looking at this ring for some time before deciding to make a move on it. Unfortunately, I've discovered that the item shown in the ad is significantly smaller than that delivered. Don't get me wrong, I like a gigantic ring just as much as the next person; however, my wife is now complaining of having a sore shoulder and I've noticed that her left hand now hangs at least 1.5 inches lower than her right.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! At a "savings" of over $118,000.00 how could I refuse? The only thing that could have made this deal any sweeter would have been a "3 easy payment" feature of $73,333 a month for 3 months.
