The Lord of the Rings movies have the perfect combination of emotional acting, fantastical scenery, and thrilling plot twists. Peter Jackson and his team did a superb job and deserved every single Oscar they got. The movies are a wonderful tribute to the books. Fortunately, they've been made so well that they can be enjoyed by all, from the Tolkien aficionado to kids who haven't yet read the books. If you haven't seen this movie, you haven't seen the greatest adventure in cinematography during the past decade.

I absolutely loved the extended version, it's like watching the movie for the first time. Even more I loved the service, the package arrived earlier than expected and in impeccable quality.

Return of the King expands upon the trilogy even further into a visual feast. From the dead ghosts to the Mumakil elephants, it rightly ranks as one of the most impressive films ever. My only advice would be to get the extended edition rather than this theatrical version - the former contains over an hour of new scenes.

Fellowship of the Rings has always been my favorite of the movies. I love how it dwells in the history of Middle Earth. The color filters used to set the moods are techniques still underutilized by cinema. My only recommendation is to get the extended edition - it includes over 40 minutes of new footage - rather than this theatrical release.

Why the hell didnt they release something like this sooner?

As far as the sets go...Frickin Amazing...If you want the best Lord of the Rings experience on DVD that money can buy....then go for the collectors gift sets...Plus u get a nifty memento (Gollum, Minas Tirith..and errm those human statue thingies from Fellowship) from Sideshow Collectibles.

Cant go wrong with this baby
