The earrings look very different from the picture, and therefore were a great disappointment. The post is positioned in the "corner" of the "octagon", so the earrings are "diamond" shape when worn, not the square as depicted. They are large, and hang off the earlobe a little. Also, they are VERY shiny, and coupled with a large size it makes them look like costume jewelry - cheap. The "platinum" border around the center stone is so shiny that it overpowers the stones around it. They look so elegant and understated in the picture, but unfortunately not so close up... Giving them two stars because they might be right for someone with a taste for "loud" jewelry, also they are packed in a nice blue velvety pouch, and the shipment was fast, however the style is not what one would expect based on the picture...

The photo makes it appear that there are multiple small stones in the middle. In reality, there is a huge plastic-looking stone in the middle. These earrings are very costume in appearance.

Further, the post is at the very edge of one of the corners of the earring, so they hang extremely low on the ear...hard to explain how strange this looks.

I need to return them because they will never be worn, but who has time?
