5.0 out of 5 stars Want a tight butt and thighs fast? Use this video!!
I was new at exercising, and needed to loose 30 pounds, most of it in my butt and thighs. I tried this video, and could not do it all, but that quickly changed as my legs strengthened from the workout. There are two workouts, one standing and one floor. You can do both at once or one and then switch next time. I was shocked at how quickly it tightens your butt and...

I was very disappointed with this video. After the first 10 minutes, I wanted a refund. This one by far must be Tamilee Webb's worst. I was accustomed to her earlier videos where she was the only instructor in the video and there was very little aerobics. This tape has 2 instructors in addition to Tamilee Webb and places too much emphasis on aerobics. If you enjoy...

I was new at exercising, and needed to loose 30 pounds, most of it in my butt and thighs. I tried this video, and could not do it all, but that quickly changed as my legs strengthened from the workout. There are two workouts, one standing and one floor. You can do both at once or one and then switch next time. I was shocked at how quickly it tightens your butt and shapes it, along with your hips and thighs. Concentrate on the moves you are doing, and by the time you wonder how much more there is, it is over! Each workout is about 25 minutes. It is the best I have found, and I just love Tamilee Webb-she is sincere and knows her stuff.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for lower body, March 14, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Platinum Series: Thighs of Steel 2000 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video is excellent. I lost weight immediately, and I was already fit to begin with. Tamilee is enthusiastic, as it her two sidekicks, and my thighs really do feel like steel! The first couple tries were tough, but now I feel so much stronger as a result of this video. All of Tamilee's videos deserve 5 stars, if you ask me!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but not her best video, August 25, 2000

Tamilee Webb is a really good instructor. I have almost all her videos and love them. I liked this video but thought the aerobics section was a little confusing and hard to keep up with. I definitely got lost with the arm movements and felt that they take away from the aerobic exercise itself. I did love the toning section though. I think I'll see good results but I'm planning to stick to her toning exercises.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Tamilee tape--my favorite workout, April 1, 2002
By A Customer
This is one of the earlier tapes done by Tamilee. It's low-budget, but it's still better than the more recent, higher-budget Thighs of Steel workouts.

The first workout gives a good cardio workout as well as giving target toning. The second is a floor workout, without cardio. I've been doing this a while now, and I still love it. To increase difficulty, I add heavier and heavier leg weights, and sometimes I add hand weights as well. Once you go through it a few times, you learn the routine and know how many things you have to go before you're done. I do both workouts in a row, and it still goes by quickly.

Tamilee changes the exercises to keep you from getting bored, explains about stretching, muscles you're using, and reasons you're working those muscles. She also has a good presence and helps keep the workout from getting tedious.

This is a great workout for all levels, as you can adjust weights to keep improving. I've tried many of the Buns of Steel, as well as a number of other workout tapes, and this one is simply my favorite. I definintely recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Aerobics and concentrated toning in a single video, December 27, 2001
By A Customer

In order to lose weight, it is important to engage in aerobic activity. Losing weight through the aerobic section of this video helps reveal the results of the intense toning sections. Tamilee Webb is accompanied by Donna Richardson and Tracy York, both great instructors in their own rights. I really enjoy this video.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Leg Strengthener, August 9, 2009

This review is from: Platinum Series: Thighs of Steel 2000 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The power of this workout is in the leg lifts. You lay on your side and lift your legs up and down until they go into cardiac leg arrest. I've been doing floor work for awhile. I'm over 200lbs, but I'm grooving with my floor work as I have lost 30lbs. over the past 2 months. I'm working my butt off, and I'm impressively stronger now; but I find the side leg lifts to be the most challenging muscle toning work for me. That could be due to my weight. I don't know, but all I do know is that I can hang with all other floor work with no problems, and the side leg lifts is most challenging for me.

I haven't mastered this unit yet, but I'm determined to, because I believe that once I've mastered it, I will be ready for Joanie Greggains: "Lean Legs", the scariest leg workout I ever seen in my life. Side leg lifts can really strengthen your legs. However, I'm not interested in the aerobic part, not just because it's a bore, but mainly because I do so much other types of aerobics. So I recorded the leg toning part onto another tape and do only that. I personally think it's stupid to combine aerobics with leg or bun toning unless it's total body including the arms and abs. This is a 1 hour workout with the aerobics. After an hour you have to work your abs and arms. Stupid. This is why I skip the aerobics. It's dumb.

4.0 out of 5 stars you have to stay with it!, November 10, 2002
By A Customer
This tape is very good... after you try it a few times, and then you will 'get it'. I did just the leg movements at first and then after a few times I add some of the arm movements. TammyLee does a great job of teaching you something as you work out. She has alot of fun on this video. She does not 'turn around' as she does on some of her other videos - and that is a good thing!(gets me dizzy!) The tape I got was a bit fuzzy, as if there was a mess on the camera lens.

I absolutely love this tape. The aerobic segment is fantastic. It took a couple of days to get the arms and steps correctly. I loved the fact that the steps were broken down and easy to follow. The instructors, Tamilee, Donna Richardson and Traci York are encouraging and enthusiastic.
I highly recommend it if you enjoy aerobics.
