This product, along with the EZ-RJ45 PRO crimper, made a dozen cables without a hitch - perfect crimps, all of them tested out in the top tier when done.

Being able to push the 8 wires completely through the connector really makes terminating cables very much easier than traditional connectors. The only issue I had was in clipping off the excess wire. If you use scissors to clip off the excess you can't cut the wires close enough to the connector and the connector does not seat properly in a RJ45 jack. Using a utility knife is difficult also. They do offer a crimping tool that cuts off the excess that I have not tried.

These are much easier to use than the regular variety; well worth the extra cost (do they actually cost more?) just for all the frustration that they save. I don't think it's mentioned in the description, but the packet came with red, blue and (I think) grey boots.

I Bought these after using some 2 Piece From Monoprice .. Those were nearly impossible even though i have been doing cabling for quite a long time , So i tried these and oh my god how easy ! ... Its impossible to mess up and the fact you can see all the Strands before you crimp make it impossible to mess up and because it goes all the way through you will never have a bad crimp

Make SURE you are using the Platinum Tools EZ-RJ45 Crimp Tool for RJ-11, RJ-12 and RJ-45 these are meant for that tool and make a perfect combo

I did up my Entire house in Solid Core Cat 6 with these EZ45 in less time then i did 10 Cables using normal Cat6 RJ45

The Reviewer who gave it bad reviews is wrong .. as long as you are using the matching Tool you will have perfect cables everytime

having the wires protrude from the end of the connector is a great idea. It makes the connection very tight with minimal untwisted wire. It also reduces errors by being able to see which wires are where. The problem with this connector is the position of the clip that keeps the connector in the socket. The position of the clip is such that when the wires are crimped (using a regular crimp tool), it causes the clip to be pressed against the connector thereby rendering it usesless. The resultng connector is fine, but will not stay put in the socket. If using the Platnum Tools crimp tool is a must then it should be clearly stated so. Queries to the company regarding this yielded no response whatsoever.
The strain relief sleeve is very fragile and can easily be torn off the solid part.
