Great game, unlike the other reviewer stated, you do have to plan before you go into battle, so in my book its not boring, it is realistic to a certain degree. After all this is only a game, and the price is appropriate. thank you:

finaly they came out with a vietnam game. This game has great graphics and excelent battel sceens.

THIS GAME HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MOVIE. As a Vietnam war historian and fan of the movie, I will say that the military history behind this game is atrocious. Whomever came up with the characters had to have been reading from the glossary of some military novel without looking up what the people and places actually were.

I've had this game for years and it is frustrating as hell. Nevertheless I keep coming back to it. I enjoy the challenge. Unlike an FPS, you really do need to put some degree of tactical skill into this such as fire and maneuver, cover and concealment. Does it irritate me that they don't shoot when they see the enemy. Yes...but all I want is to get to the levels where I can use the APC's and tanks...

This game bites!! The characters repeat the same stupid phrases every time you order them to do anything. The gameplay is [bad], it is not strategy but more of a second person accomplish a set mission style game. The ambushes always happen in the same places. It is impossibly hard at times and if the main character (sgt lionsdale) gets killed, you have to start over at the beginning of the mission. The other soldiers will not even return enemy fire unless you order them to first face the enemy and second open fire. Don't buy this game, it [is bad]

Good thing I only payed $3 for this game, Unrealistic and difficult to control the views and play.

The fourth level is impossible to beat!

The game looks promising when you buy it. When you play it, it's frusterating. Not to mention the military continuity errors.

In the booklet, The main character goes to West Point Military Academy, but comes out enlisted, as a corporal? In the game he is a Sargent. Doesn't make sense.

Problem with the game is the Enemy soldiers are stupid and so are your own! You soldiers don't return fire or initiate fire until you order them to (You can now download a patch from the game's website to correct that, among other problems).

I recommend, if you can find it a C64 emulator and the Commodore 64 version of the game.

Thank God I got the Demo off Gigex.com! Geez! I hate these kind of games... Mind you, I'm into action games and FPS where you get to jump into the action. This game isn't one of those. This is one of those boring games where you have to plan everything and move this soldier here and that soldier there... Gimme a break! If you like these kind of games, fine. But if you're like me and you like fast action and adventure, don't waste your money.
